It's the context bro..We aren't looking for AD'S replacement here, we are looking for the guy that compliments him the most. I still think Vucevic is a better offensive player, but Myles checks all the other boxes . 7 rebs for his career is an interesting point, but 36% from 3 and a career 107 defensive rating are excellent numbers, as a frontcourt running mate.

I agree. Rui, and JHS and 2 FRPs are not an overpay for me.

They wouldn’t take JHS … it would be DK they’d want plus RUI if even that was enough …. said with no clue about salary matching here, granted.

i think rui and either gets it done, salary-wise. but how many picks AND--once again--whether indy is actually interested in doing this matters.

rui/knecht/1st is more than enough in just pure market value for turner, imo, but it leaves indy without a center, and they're not just a store you go to in order to obtain players you need--they also want to win! so you need a third team who wants our value and will give up a center (portland is the obvious choice here, imo).

again, won't believe turner's on the block until he's moved. this has happened over and over again.

The bottom line with Turner is, Indiana is either going to pay him, or they are not. I don't think what happened in the past, has anything to do with right now. He had foot problems for two consecutive seasons, that's why nobody pressed them for him. The Pacers lucked out with that extra 20M, to give him two seasons ago. He didn't seem to be interested, in the 20M per they were offering, prior to that windfall I alluded to.

So here we are, he's on an expiring deal, there hasn't been any movement on the contract, and it's almost the trade deadline. I don't know if he's going to end up being a Laker, but I'm pretty sure he won't be in Indiana next season. Unless he gets the contract he desires.

It's not like the Pacers are holding all the cards either. If he doesn't get moved by the deadline, he can walk for nothing. You can't bank on doing a sign and trade, under this new CBA. There won't be a lot of teams, able to absorb the hard cap. So I guess we will find out exactly how much, the Pacers truly value Myles Turner soon.

I'm not convinced that a Myles Turner trade, is actually going to require two FRP Tbh..we shall see.

Yeah. I think Turner gives us what we need and would be a great complement to AD in the long term.

If we can get him, which I think everyone acknowledges is a big if at this point, then we should. But that involves Indiana being willing to play ball and him wanting to sign a longer deal with us.

We will know soon enough, but I'm over the rotation of minimum guys and treading water. Either we believe in our big two or we don't. If we do, build around them. If we don't, start the rebuild this summer. I much prefer to build around them as this team is going to be really bad when we rebuild (a reality that we went through and for whatever reason only a handful of us seem to remember).

Wouldn’t be surprising if true, he called them out, but man, he wasn’t wrong. I wonder what this means for LeBron now.

Sad to see AD go, at his best he’s a top 5 player with a defensive and offensive impact that’s equal to Doncic. It’s just Doncic has age on him.

Wish him a lot of luck, hopefully he can feast now with Gafford, Lively and PJ as his front court mates.
