    i think both olivari and jhs are injured right now. jj's already cut gabe's minutes down, though, so i think he's in the early stages of throwing in the towel.

    i can't think of a worse lakers FA signing in the last 20 years or so

    really hope they learned their lesson about signing ex-heat guards

    He has been horrific: the Lakers would have been better off he had gone Zombie like we expected so Olivari would have had a shot to play

    Yeah, this needs to stop. Bring up Olivari and give him a shot, or just don’t play Gabe at all and give Max all his minutes. There’s no reason for him to play if this is how he’s going to go about it, he brings almost nothing. There’s no way Olivari could be worse, and you could at least see what you have with him, it’s not like we’re playing for anything meaningful this season anyway, we should absolutely be looking at the future and what we have post-LeBron. Gabe is not part of our future, and we aren’t boosting his trade value, it just is what it’s going to be, salary filler and that team hoping he bounces back for them.

    I’m glad he had a good game, but even with 32 mins and a green light he only took 5 shots. I do not understand making his name and money how he did and then just stopping being aggressive as an NBA from there on out.

    Best game of his Laker career. Put him on ice, value will never get higher.

    Kind of sad that the only way to make him not look like one of the worst players in the league is to start him and commit 30+ minutes to him.

    i'll tell it: this role and stat line (maybe with a couple more FGAs) was the vision when we signed him.

    i really think the hope was to have dlo be a sixth man and gabe to be the placeholder starter who helped do the dirty work that lebron has eschewed late in his career and dlo isn't capable of.

    he just died last year and had been dog**** this year.

    anyway, i'm glad he was able to help us get a win when we were missing the entire backcourt.

    Yeah this was definitely the vision but he had/has to be able to do this with shorter shifts, fewer minutes and while on the court with two other ball handlers. He can't and aside from injuries, that's the problem. He disappears and has no confidence in his offense if he doesn't have a pulse on the game.

    This was what I expected out of him but in 20-26 minutes depending on who's having more of an impact between him and DLO.
