Dude’s body language clearly isn’t in it. Esp in the 4th, where he was just holding the ball at one point for a while on the right wing, doing nothing. Then clearly passing up a wideeee open 3. Not looking to shoot. Trade this dude already for like biyombo or something… writing is on the wall.

 

He's due to have a IDGAF game, and drop 5-6 threes, sooner or later. Hopefully in the next game. Malone likes to pick on him, and Westbrook likes to talk s***, perhaps he'll rise to the occasion.

D'Angelo Russell has expressed his intention to represent Lithuania internationally. He targets the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games for his possible debut. While the Lithuanian Basketball Federation (LKF) is reserved about it, the President of Lithuania, Gitanas Nauseda, would not be against it due to Russell's partner being of Lithuanian descent.

Russell is most interested in representing Lithuania at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, 15min reports. He could play for Lithuania if Nauseda grants him citizenship. Russell's partner is Laura Ivaniukas, a Canadian of Lithuanian descent. The couple is not married but they have two children.

Dude has been playing like he knows he’s going to be traded since game one.
Being professional means you go out every night and ball out no matter what.
I get it, he’s a human being and “has feelings,” but most of us have had to operate at high levels in our careers, at one time or another, even when we knew we weren’t going to be for a company for much longer.
NBA Players are such coddled babies.

Any moping needs to stop: his coach gave him a ton of rope, gave him the starting job, he shat the bed (not entirely his fault as the Lakers need defense and Dlo ain't that), he's put in a better position to succeed and he's still stinking it up.

Time to grow up: yeah it sucks you're on the trading block and you're human yada yada but the Lakers have given every opportunity in your prime to you. The league has spoken. You are what you are athletically but it's not the league's fault you haven't done anything to get better at using your right hand, get lost on defense, etc. It's a contract year and you should be able to light it up against second units and you still get to play with talented teammates, make something out of it
