I had a dream/nightmare last night that we resigned Westbrook and were trying to spin it as a positive acquisition. I wasn't having any of it.

lol, the one place i'll stick up for russ is in individual defense against wing players. i think he's actually still good at that. he was our best defensive option against kawhi leonard, as i recall, for example.

the problem with russ to end games is on offense. not sure how malone's going to do it with both gordon and westbrook out there. jokic is great, but not that great.

On ball, he's still capable of being very disruptive. Problem is no player has the ball the full 24. He falls asleep or loses interest when they don't have the ball. The hundreds of clips we've seen of him where he looks like he's playing online mode and the connection lags, the play recognition delay is gif-tastic.

As a KCP replacement, I'm not sure they could've done worse

but go to a zone and have him off ball....

    :Magic Shimmy:

that's when the real magic happens. But he does still possess enough athleticism to be still be effective if he's dialed in. The problem is he thinks he's still a scorer at this stage.

    :Nope:

Myopic self unaware fool. What does he even mean? When he was in games he played the point and had every opportunity every time down the court both offense and defense to not consistently suck to where you hurt your teams and they were afraid to even play you in crunch time. Have fun Mikey .... you're gonna love the Russ experience.

he still doesn't know he's declining does he?

Thinks he's going to post a triple double next year probably. Sad when the athlete is the last one to know.

It can work to have Russ subbing for Jokic and playing fast basketball with Braun, Watson or MPJ, Gordon and Jamal for example. But I can't see that working with Jokic and Russ at the same time.

It will be interesting to watch. Denver's depth is worse than ours so they'll rely heavily on Russ

Screw those guys it’s such a lame take because obviously they didn’t watch him play or even the huge quantity of material for blooper tapes. LOL at their soundtracks including that one.

“No idea what happened to Westbrook on this FT. Thought he had a pretty strange night.”

LOL …. it’s called a BRAIN FART. Get used to them Mikey. He produced them regularly while being paid 50M. For vet minimum it’s highly unlikely anything changes. The funniest thing with the brain farts, side of backboard clanks, airballs and assorted other dumb things …. is that little hop into the air he does following them. Kind of like an ooops reset and on to the next one.

i don't think denver nor russ has that option. they have to learn to work together, but at best, it will be like the clips stint: solid bench pg, can't play him in important moments.

I don't think he belongs on a team with championship aspirations, and I think they will come to the same conclusion

    :Kobe Shrug:

but hey, as long as everyone is having fun
