Me and sirron are hopeful for Knecht to lead us to a title! Dalton guaranteed that we would be champs before being drafted by anyone.
taurean is gone which means that the FO wants Max Christie to finally PLAY rotation minutes. Excited to see what Max can do with a DEFINED role and DEFINED minutes
No, basketball wise, making mistakes is an opportunity to learn and grow. Players just have to show they are progressing and learning from their mistakes, which Max has done.
Where is this even coming from? Max at the end of the season was driving into no man's land to get rejected in consecutive plays and was having games where he literally couldn't catch a ball. His best stretch came in the middle of the season ala Cleveland game. He's very young, had decent athleticism, and has a knack for boards so I think he still has a chance to be a good player but I swear people have this imaginary Max in their heads.
You might want to try actually watching him play. Some of you guys think if a guy can't be a star day one he is trash, get rid of him, wasted pick, fire Rob, sell the franchise! Clownmanship at its finest. Reality is, players have to be developed. We have great young talent, no they won't all be stars, but all need developing. IMO that is better than restarting pretty much every season. We are starting with jj to do things the right way, and yes it takes times. We are in the rare position of being able to develop players and compete bc of AD. Your choice, but I would suggest enjoying the ride instead of finding something to panic about everyday. Life is good bro.
I actually watched him play and wanted him to succeed. There was no bigger fan of his coming out of summer league. This isn't about a single play here or there, the dude was legit bad for entire stints on the court. You can go thru the game chats and see multiple people complaining about his play not just me and this was towards the end of the year. You can't make statements like he showed growth without something to back it up. His best stints came in the middle of the season
eh, it's mindset. pioneer sees max get blocked on successive drives, i see him make a couple good reads as a ballhandler in the pick and roll. my opinion is just that most 20 year old nba players suck pretty hard. the ones that don't were drafted top-5, and honestly, a lot of them suck at first too, but no one cares because their teams suck and they don't care, either. same with jhs. if anyone expected these guys to be great off the bat, they need to deal with their emotions in private.
I'm actually basing what I think of Max before Ham's disastrous season. Other than AD everyone had stretches of sucking under Ham. With jj, Max will have a breakout season and the "Emotionals" will have to find a different song to sing. Better group up and pick the next player you want to start bashing. JHS, is injured and an easy target for now. Perfect for you.
Know it’s an unpopular opinion here, but I’m not a big Max fan. Can’t dribble, and is nowhere near the elite defender that he’s made out to be. Hopefully his game matures and proves me wrong.
lol, read the thread--the board opinion is that he sucks and can't do anything. and then when we salary dump trade him, people will be like "wtf rob?! we had a rotation quality wing just sitting here!"
you don't know because we're a bad system for development. that's ok. i get that lebron means "win now", but you can't expect 20 year olds to be ready to win now. it almost never happens. how many 20 year olds were playing meaningful minutes in the finals? conference finals?
I know you meant today btw but Kobe, I’ll insert Kobe references like JHS in his Laker job interview every other sentence
