Wow, this is great news! Also, it’s nice to see our guys excited to play for JJ. Chemistry is extremely important.

I think reality set in and teams weren’t lining up to give him his bag. His agent was smarter than Dennis’s and Dlo made that right choice for both himself and the Lakers. I’d look for him to be traded sometime this year.

yeah, my guess is nobody was even offering long-term mle, so took the cash and figured he might find a way to bird rights trap someone. potentially a good bet.

i'm sure we're looking to move him now, but as i said somewhere else, starting the season with basically our starting five from the conference finals run isn't the worst thing in the world.

I like DLo 2.0 and have always rooted for him. Came off a great season stats wise. Only vice is he can be played off the floor in the playoffs. That has to change. If we traded him I’d be sad to see him go, but I 100% get it too.

I'm with you on this. We've seen DLo get physically overwhelmed in 2 playoffs in a row. His lack of athleticism and physical strength make him unplayable in the playoffs. I hope we look for a trade.

all of the possibilities of bigger moves just opened up

I would not be surprised to see him traded by the deadline, or before the start of the season.

I really like regular season DLo. Playoff DLo? I’ve seen this movie two years in a row and have zero interest suffering through it again.
He hope he balls out throughout the season so we can get someone more dependable.

    My ideal trades:
DLo($18.6) and pick swap for Sexton($18.3)
Hachi, JHS, first rounder and two seconds for Jarret Allen
We would save $900k in this one.
I know, Cleveland most likely doesn’t do it, but this is my ideal roster upgrade.

I like Russell. His playoff performances suck, though.

He's a good innings eater during the reg season. That just doesn't equal chips.

    Trade him.

There is still hope, I guess, it's only day 2.

The other thing about him, is the locker room stuff, he's bounced around enough, for that to be taken into account. The Minnesota GM shredded him on that maturity level thing, I'm not sure if he got the message.

Apparently nobody will take him in a salary dump.If reports are true nobody wants him in a S&T either.

weirdly enough, nobody seems to have had much bad to say about him here (reaves loves him).

he performed poorly in a couple playoff series here (and in at least one prior to coming here), so there's legitimate concern about him if you want to contend.

he also was THE difference between 12th place and the conference finals. if nobody wants him, that's ok. i'm great going into the season with him as starting pg as opposed to...gabe? jhs? absolute worst case he's expiring ballast at the deadline.

klay has also killed his team in big games in recent years, before the dumb nickname attempts to "fetch" itself into existence again.

we dodged a bullet if it was just dlo for klay. we have the superior player and more tradeable contract.

Well...he capped about using all his "leverage" and then opted in. So..the market was chilly, still...someone always wants out of their current situation, every year in this league.

It could be sold, that we flipped him, and got a FRP from Chicago, for Lavine.

It depends on the salary filler we could put together to match salaries.

I know I'm in the minority here but...run it back.

I like DLO a lot and I think he gets an unfair shake here a lot.

If there's a no brainer deal to get someone that fills a real need on this roster....yes, you trade him so you can get something for him incase he bolts next summer.

Truth is - the guy averaged 18/6/3 on 46/42/83 splits while playing 75 games last year. IDK where we're going to get that production from another point guard next year...so yeah, I'm cool with not trading him for fricking Klay "Brick" Thompson. Klay is WASHED bro and he's SEVEN YEARS OLDER THAN DLO!!! I'm very happy to not have gotten Klay...dodge a massive bullet

I'm glad he opted in. If nothing happens this off-season, maybe we can use that expiring before the trade deadline.
