He really needs to work on his strength.Maybe that comes with time and maturity. At present he gets pushed around. He has good feet and athletic ability he just can’t stay in there against man strength
Has a hard time finishing at the rim too. Max gets his dunks blocked more than Rui. Part of Max's "development issues " is that he's Austin's backup. Reaves played the most minutes of his career last season.
Both of these can, and are true- aside from how Ham was turrible at developing players, tons of other evidence pointed at him being a really bad coach. Max was also very bad at times on the court. Some guys take time to develop and Ham showed he had no interest in it. Good coaching staffs know how to develop at least one young player at a time while simultaneously coaching a winning team. I’ve seen it every single year with multiple teams. Even some of the bad teams are able to be patient with their young players.
i lol'd at alpaca haircut. seriously, though--who's offering max anything above 5 per? i think we've already told him we're offering more than that with a PO on year 2. feel like he's ours unless we need the flexibility to make other stuff happen.
It is nice to know Rob can see what Ham couldn't. Max is going to far out perform that contract. We are having one heck of an off-season so far. Very much a steal. We had what we needed all last season sitting right there...lol. So glad Ham is gone.
