unless his goal is to sit at the end of the bench for a few years until lebron retires and then end up in china, he'd be best suited to go back to school for another year or two

Linda has all of the magic. Kurt is just the front man.

why? if you're going to get drafted, you go. you'll get better development in an nba franchise than you would playing 30 games a year against future accountants playing a 2-3 zone.

how will sitting on the bench and working with a coach in practice get you better prepared for the NBA than college?

in college he'd actually be playing in meaningful games against teams who play tough defense. there'd actually be pressure on him to perform, especially in rivalry games where those college arenas can get quite chaotic and every possession matters. doesn't matter if some teams don't have any NBA prospects, most college teams buy into a system and dig down even when the stakes are low. i don't see how that's a worse option in regards to development compared to riding the bench and playing garbage minutes or in the g-league

yeah, disagree pretty strongly. the college game is very different from the pro game. you get better, more nba-style competition in the g-league than in the ACC. everything you've said about college is the same for the g-league but with better players and pro systems. in college, you play inferior talent playing weird gimmick ball in like, half your games. might as well be shooting in a gym by yourself, imo.

2-3 zones aren't tough defense, either. they're junk you almost never see in the nba unless a coach is throwing things at the wall because he's out of options.

edit: generally, the money alone is reason to be drafted, too. in bronny's case, that doesn't matter. however, the above matters even more because bronny projects as an nba role player. developing non-role player skillsets in college won't be of much use. he'd just have to re-shape his game when he got drafted later.

if someone will draft him, he should go. this is true for like, 90% of cases, if not more, imo.

yeah, i'll have to disagree. the g league is fine for development, but i don't see how going back to college would be a bad thing for a guy who barely even played and coming off major heart surgery. and it's not like he played all that great in the limited time he saw at usc either

and i think the college atmosphere is being quite underrated here. college games can get pretty insane and what better to get prepared for the bright lights of the nba than by playing in hostile arenas? compare that to the g league where he'll be playing in rec centers in front of 50 people

the atmosphere point is interesting, but not important enough for me to change my mind about what i'd suggest.

if you're not going to get drafted, stay in school. if you're going to get drafted and/or signed, i'd just go.

how much doubletalk did paul cram into about 30 seconds of speech there?

nothing. imo, the only reason to opt in is if he wanted to be traded. the only team with max cap space that could contend with lebron is philly, and he could have gone there before and didn't.

I actually agree with some elements from both sides of the argument.
Not much else can replicate the pressure of learning to perform when it matters. There’s not a whole lot of this in G-League games, but plenty in college ones.
I don’t think the kid is ready either, and the spotlight is going to be super intense on him if he’s a Laker. The media will unfairly expect him to be great, starting game one.
If he stays in college, he will have more time to develop his game, mature as a young man, and will be better equipped to handle the pressures of the NBA.
Anyway, I’m fine with us drafting him as a second rounder, but the real “hate” will come from those who expect him to do great things on the floor season one and he can’t deliver.

IF they were all healthy throughout the playoffs, this would widely be seen as the most meaningless Championship in NBA history.
    Anyway, it’s not happening.

Phoenix cannot get LeBron in sign trade due to restrictions on the second hard apron even theoretically.Ony chance they will get LeBron if he sign only for minimum

is it wrong to wish that he leaves? I am thankful for the 2020 title, but I think it's clear that ship has sailed, and we should be rebuilding sooner rather than later.

So we can get back to the unwatchable Randle, DLO, BI, and Zo years until the next Bron decides to come save us?

    Nah. I'm good.
