There is hope for you yet...lol. I look at all avenues in the off-season. Regular season starts I will be fully behind whoever is here proclaiming a championship run. Just to reiterate, at this point in his career I don't think saying LeBron is the 2nd or 3rd best player on a championship team is a diss. LeBron and AD were healthy, we had a good roster, and looked how we struggled. If LeBron is a legit one we would have done better. Granted Ham was a disaster, I have proclaimed that as much as anyone, almost anyone. By the way, Sam Cassell is the by far the best choice. We should have hired him last time.

what other moves that would've moved the needle could've been made without trading any of the young talent?

none of those guys have shown any ability whatsoever to lead a team in the playoffs

    league's different.

edit: i'm sure the C Bags thought the gravy train would never end, too. our investment in declining kobe is what got us lebron, imo. thus, our investment in lebron is our best chance at the next super duper star choosing us. i think we have to go down with the lebron ship, and we've done a decent job walking the tightrope. the russ trade was a huge fail that both sides learned from, imo. tatum, luka, ant, etc. are watching how we treat lebron. what they're seeing is a partnership and a ton of cash and exposure. this is the way i'd wager, and i said so when kobe was winding down.

by the same token, if lebron wants out, we should help him get to a situation he wants, too. long game.

We were basically begging LaMarcus freakin Aldridge to grant us a second meeting and sign with us. We couldn't get a meeting with Marc Gasol, we were screwed and no one was going to save us. If it wasn't for Bron, we would be Hornets 2.0. Or even worse, we would be paying someone like Harden or Durant and cringe season after season.

Who was doing the begging? Was it Rob " Madman" Pelinka or someone else? That's what I thought. None of that matters now bc the "league's different". You guys are trying to bark up a Eucalyptus Tree. It is not working...lol.

Yeah. LeBron has certainly had input and both stars will be asked their thoughts.

I do have to say as a parent it would be touching to see LeBron and Bronny playing together. I don't like seeing the negative comments about Bronny only making it because he is LeBron's son. He works hard and is overcoming a serious health issue. Being LeBron's son has to come with tremendous pressure as well as having benefits. Hire Sam Cassell, draft Bronny and let's make history and win a title at the same time. Getting an adrenaline rush already. My account has not been hacked...lol.

lol, not as on board with cassell, but drafting bronny in the second round has never bothered me in the least. i think there's a chance he'd be drafted if his dad wasn't lebron.

nor are 25 of the 30 people about to be selected in the second round of the nba draft.

he's got enough similarity to gpII and melton that he'd get a look regardless, imo.

As well you can’t ignore the pedigree and mental and physical preparation for the whole NBA experience he gets from Pops. Unless of course you’re one of the hard core haters here.

yeah. maybe it's a self-fulfilling prophecy (these guys get chances others don't), but it's not nothing.

Certainly but I’m talking specifically about the tips from the very top mentally and physically by one of the greatest players in the history of the game …. same as GiGi was getting from Kobe. GiGi’s ceiling in her sport obviously higher than Bronny’s simply from his size deficit alone. He really got short changed in that respect. But he seems to genuinely “want it, the NBA experience”. Same as GiGi couldn’t wait to experience everything she had ahead of her with HS, college and the WNBA.
