I'm going back and forth on this...but I'm not sure that Gabe is the best guy to put on Murray. I actually think Spencer is the guy you gotta stick on Murray because of his size. Look at how Spencer defended Dame...heck he BLOCKED Dame's shot to win the game, I don't think I've ever seen anybody block Dame like that in crunch time.

Spencer did get one game in against the Nuggets but it was like his 8th or 7th game iwth us...I think he will be more fresh this time around.

It's gonna come down to whether Darvin makes the right decisions...

It was a serious mistake knowing Ham is the coach to let Gabe back.

Spencer looks like a shell of himself after being great jack of all trades because his minutes are getting jerked around and can't get a rhythm
And you can see Gabe do ridiculous passes because he's rusty.

I like him as a player but knowing the time of the season and this coach that was brutal

Had to pick between one of them and not try to force it with both of them.

Instead of getting anything from either, Ham found a way to get the worst of each.

Good defensive effort but can't play a guard that has ZERO offense in todays nba

yeah, i actually really like him defensively. he gets after it and gets to the right spots. but man, you've got to be able to do something on offense as a pg these days.

He's somewhere between a poor man's Cam Reddish and a poor man's Ronnie Price.

In other words, he never should have received playing time, that was clear in preseason.

Unfortunately Ham loves players like this and will play them ahead of better players. See The Hobo from last season.

Gabe would have been fine without losing virtually the whole season and all the rhythm that would have gone with it.

sounds like they have a good system and coach, and have signed players that fit the system

bit of both. i think gabe would have been a solid, slightly overpaid backup pg without the injury. but yeah, everyone looks better in miami just like they used to in SA. the jaime jacquez fanclub should be wary of this, btw.

This was brutal and you could see it coming because he f***ing loves small ball.

Spence finally got more minutes and Lakers looked good in his minutes.

As always - Ham needed to be saved from himself bcuz he couldn't help but put 3-guard lineups out there featuring Gabe's short a**.

I hope he's gone this off-season, and I don't care if we have to jettison a first round pick to get him off this team. Not a fan of Gabe at all...def made me miss Schroder

Geez...A 1st rd pick to get off of him? That's severe malpractice as a GM. Rob should get fired for doing something that stupid.
