Like I said, I prefer to shorten the rotation and have him outside of that rotation in favor of Dinwiddie, who is more than capable of guarding the other team's best guard. Vincent might be good defensively but he's not ELITE on that end like say, Vando, where it completelymakes up for anything that he's not doing offensively. Another problem with Vincent - he does not take good shots on offense. So he's also not taking shots within the system and missing, he's taking shots outside of the system early in the shot clock and MISSING BADLY.
Yeah, that's kind of what's I'm at, just posted about it in the Ham thread. He can defend but he's not bringing any skillset to the table at this point in the season to get any non garbage time/foul trouble minutes over Spencer. Spencer is a two way guy for us we can leave in and not worry about him doing something dumb offensively. Can't say that about 23-24 Vincent. If you're giving him any Cam or Christie minutes, fine. Outside of that, he doesn't need to be in the rotation. Just be a good cheerleader and get ready for next season, regardless of whether it'll be as a Laker or not. his 3 ball right now
Gabe’s best game as a Laker BY FAR, and couldn’t have come at a better time! If he can keep playing like that, honestly it does make sense for him to overtake Dinwiddie in the rotation
He has a decent game but he blew a layup and wide open 3 which allowed the Pelicans to make there come back in the 3rd He makes that and game is over
that one and-1 finish was tough. still think dinwiddie should be getting his minutes, though. it's not like gabe has better chemistry with the rest of the team or anything.
had his best game as a Laker and hoping he can build on that - but I think for the Denver matchup, Dinwiddie should get the nod over him. He also had CJ McCollum in HELL. That's hard to do too because CJ has been so damn good for last 2 months
I hope so because we've had zero answer for him. IF either of them can slow him down, it probably means we have a shot at winning the series.
It's one of those things where you just have to make Murray work offensively, IMO. If's he's scoring 20 points just make sure he doesn't do it efficiently. Make him work. If he hits tough shots with a hand in his face, so be it. I'd throw everybody and every coverage at him. He's just such a fantastic player off the pick in roll (great passer) and has such continuity with Jokic. Nevertheless, make him work!
Yes. We will need Gabe bigtime in this series. I sure hope Ham and staff have multiple traps to send at Murray because if he cooks, we are cooked.
Ham really does seem to have habits he just will fall back into. Will never give up Prince minutes for Spence (Ham really trusts players he has worked with in the past) and he loves smallish gaurds. This can't happen against Denver: Murray just kills small guys
