Just stay gone at this point until you are fully healed if indeed that’s ever going to happen. He can’t play one or two games and then be out again.
Then why can't we just let him get 100% before throwing him back out there? The cycle of play him, sit him, throw him back a game later, then he takes him a couple games to get into the flow and then he aggravates an injury and misses weeks... again. Rinse and repeat.
Yep. Sit him. I love Cam but Max can eat his minutes for now. We need this guy and Vando healthy down the stretch of the regular season and hopefully beyond if possible.
Plus Dinwiddie has more than proven himself as a capable perimeter defender for us. Those two can fill the void for the rest of the month. Having him at 75% in March and missing time in April/May because of it is flat out stupid. Get him right and hope have him at 90-95% in a few weeks. The yo-yo nature of how they've handled him... hope it doesn't make him want to go play on a team who has a medical staff who's medical certifications aren't written on the back of a cocktail napkin.
So frustrating: not having Cam and Vando kills the defense against certain teams. Kings game is going to be frustrating again if the Lakers offense isn't in overdrive
I'm sorry the Lakers defense is just not anywhere this bad when Cam or Vando are not available and healthy. I've seen most of the game this year and this is not the same type of defense we saw during the IST run for example or when we had Vando
there's a reason we paid vando in the offseason. he's super valuable. dlo on offense and vando on defense do things for the team that really raise the ceiling. those two with lebron/AD/AR is a good foundation. they've played like 12 minutes together all year. edit: sorry, 31: and look at those (small sample) numbers! they did the same thing last year, too: the trick is just getting all five out there at the same time! this should probably be in a different thread.
He's back. Need it to be for good this time. We're going to need the defense until we close the book on this year.
Yep they can be pretty mediocre offensive player but add Cam or Vando and the Lakers defense just goes to a different level. (This maybe more of complaint about how bad the other players are on defense lol)
So nice having him back to chase guards around for 94 feet. Some rust on his timing, but I'll gladly take that over the alternative. I just really hope he's back for good this time.
Cam’s offense was really bad tonight (1-5) but I’m glad to at least have him back. I don’t think he should have been playing down the stretch though.
He's definitely not 100% yet just looking at his movement out there. It's pretty comical that this was his only made bucket I liked his aggressiveness in getting to the line, shooting a season high 6 fts. I'm not sure why we had him as the screener on Bron drives, repeatedly. It just junks up the spacing cause the defense isn't respecting him as a threat to shoot or drive so they'll double Bron instead. Whatcha doing Ham?! The one that resulted in that wild poster attempt for example. I'm fine with him closing if the purpose is to get him back up to speed and get the reps in. That might be giving Ham too much credit though. And he's still one of our best options to chase/pressure their wings and guards.
