Yeah, the ONLY THING that Phil and Hambone have in common is their usage of timeouts.

Except Phil used to to empower his players. He had them prepared for the moment, the situation from practice or from meditation. Ham's too f***ing busy going over jump ball strategy. He doesn't use them cause he's a moron and doesn't know what to say in the timeout other than some cliche on a Darvin Ham pull string See-and-Say. "Run harder." "Play with tempo." "Get stronger as the game gets longer." "Give the ball to Taurean." "I'm from Saginaw."

AD was pissed about being hosed by Jokic so he let it out on poor Chet. He's a nightmare matchup for Holmgren

An absolute master class defensively. This will be a good matchup as Chet bulks up in upcoming seasons, but right now it's abuse.

He is just too big and forceful for OKC. When he's aggressive, they have nothing too slow him him. The numbers don't jump off the page, but I thought it was a loud 24 & 12. Put backs, dunking in a crowd, on the receiving end of a lob. Rebounding in traffic just cause he's bigger, stronger, longer.

The team definitely cares - they know they don't wanna be in the play-in, just like last year they made it a goal to get to the 6th spot when they weere in 13th literally before all star break.

I think if I'm the Lakers, I'm targeting a hallway series with the Clippers or I'm getting a date with the Thunder...that means either 5th, 6th, or 7th seed. Aim as high as you can and then let the reest take care of itself as far as matchups go. I think Thunder and Clippers will be 3rd and 4th, respectively.

Yeah, he missed a lot of shots in the first half that he normally makes.
    That defense though!!!

Cam messed up their play design by playing ball denial on SGA and Lebron/Reaves/Dlo were all over the rest of the OKC.
First time in forever that the only option was try to to attack AD. I don't think even Denver like to do this much - the number of luck shots that jokic has to put against AD is getting silly at this point. I refuse to believe the law of averages won't hit soon and his numbers will drop.

yeah, even if it's embiid or jokic, i don't think isoing on AD is a bread and butter move. and i agree jokic has been bailed out by the basketball gods a fair amount there. if he's that good, how does denver ever lose a single game?

Maybe. The great players are all arrogant tho. To be honest, I think last season's run, sharpened them up down the stretch.

    Time for revenge vs Sabonis.
Last game in November was pretty embarrassing.

AD has some problems, with any big that can dribble. If Anthony had a handle on par with Jokic, Embiid or Sabonis, he would be damn near unguardable.
