He’s a hell of a lot more impactful for good on the game next to LeBron than Prince. Especially with his rhythm back. That’s the whole point. The size difference plus his athleticism TOO …. as well as him breaking out again with his offensive game.

Ok. We are 6 and 0 with Rui in the starting lineup.

That's great , we need to outscore people right now, that's the strength of the team.

In the playoffs, I'd rather seperate Rui and Lebron. It's not about talent, Rui dropped 29 and 6 against Memphis, in the 1st game of the playoffs last season, off the bench.

I've never had any doubts about making the playoffs, I'm always thinking about the postseason.

I do think both of these are valid to an extent.

I feel like Ham waited too long before reinserting Rui as the starter, but Vando getting hurt so fast after he got ramped up does make me pause a lot on the rotation issues. Just wonder what, if anything, he was being told by the medical staff, what kinds of minute restrictions guys were being put under, and how much of that was being communicated with the team.

I'd start a healthy Vando over Rui, but not Prince.

Man I’m starting to wonder on that. He’s truly Kawhi Lite out there when he got his rhythm and timing and shooting back, and can very likely still raise his D level and his rebounding some. That size and athleticism too is valuable not to mention Vando will never be able to raise HIS scoring to where on the routine he gives you 15 a game and can explode (probably more frequently now) for 20, 30 or 40 if Ham had let him.

i'm still confused as to how all this came about. from the start of camp when he claimed the position was open i thought it should have been vando's, but i could have understood wanting to give rui a shot. but to just elevate prince without really giving rui a shot at it in real games was the ultimate head-scratcher.

and all the players pointing to familiarity with the lineup as the reason for recent success is just...yikes for ham.

I like that he at least seems to be putting pride to the side and going with the best line up. I think he does need to really mend that fence with the players and at least give them the explanation that we clearly aren't getting.

Yeah he seriously has been a dumb a** making things way harder than they needed to be for players that were signed for more than just this season. And towards winning games. And towards effing with team chemistry, very clearly, which happened.

Could be worse had we had Rivers to replace him instead if he was canned. #LowHangingFruit.

Obviously, did not get the "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." memo.

earlier in the year I could see a starting lineup of

    C: Davis
    F: Lebron
    F: Vando
    PG: DLO
    SG: AR

Main subs: Wood, Cam, Max and Rui

Now I love Rui in the starting unit and I love the idea of defensive stoppers subbing in when we need them.

    C: Davis
    F: Lebron
    F: Rui
    PG: DLO
    SG: AR

Main Subs: Vando, Dinwiddie, Cam, Max and perhaps Hays or Wood. I am liking Hayes way more now than I did earlier.

Man, we are deep, once everyone is healthy, we might as well bundle a few of these guys, one of Hayes or Wood and Gabe, try to find another big man. We need a good coach because we have all the players we really need.

But see, this is why I'm upset at Ham. There is no reason we should be in 9th place with the threat of NOT making the playoffs. It's absurd given how much talent we have. If Ham had utilized it appropriately we wouldn't be in this position. Unless we win at a very high rate now there is a possibility that we won't make it to the post season.

We didn't really have the luxury to screw around this much early in the season. With Prince as a starter we were an under .500 team ultimately. That was correctable. Add in the Dlo benching, the lack of continuity in the starting lineup - it's been a mess. Finally we are correcting that with a familiar lineup from last year that had great success. It's not too late, but wow, it's pretty close to it with all the other West teams winning games at a high pace as well. We won 7 of our last 8 and haven't moved up from 9th place.

The West is brutal. Everyone is winning a ton of games and feasting on the East. We need to be flawless now.

This time last season, we were 6 games under 500. We have 16 games left against Western Conference teams, we have Milwaukee and Indiana twice out of the 11 games left, against the East.

I'm not worried about not making the playoffs.

I think Prince needs to get waived.

Yeah I’m surprised no one has brought it up here yet Ham trying out his 3 guard lineup with NO LeBron next to AD and good ole BFF Taurean Prince in that slot instead of Rui who had the necessary size and athleticism and was red hot on offense. Stupid no sense decision AGAIN from this jack***.

    :Crazyartest:

He literally is going to lose us more games again in our stretch run and in the playoffs if we make them. IMO.

Ham has really done a masterful job in making a stacked team look awful for the majority of the season.
I don’t care if we make the Finals, he still needs to go this summer.
There is more than enough evidence now.

Hope he takes it and we get an assistant actual HC experience (Stotts).
