Damn. Maxey may have to go drop a fitty a whole bunch more times now. Twice already this season.

i'd be surprised if he returns this year. i guess if it's minor, the timetable can be as short as 4-6 weeks, but if it's a repair it can be 3-6 months. isn't this his second one of these?

my old a** is having trouble watching games anymore, for several reasons--the convoluted tv packages among them.

Pretty soon all these streaming services are going to get together in one place, start calling themselves channels, charge one set fee for access, I wonder what they’d call something like that…

As for the Bucks, you hate to see it

I'll give it to that crafty con artist, he's already bought himself time during this losing stretch. By the second loss Haynes already labeled it an "evaluation" period for Doc to see what he has to work with and then he'll begin implementing changes after the ASB.

Guess these losses are still on Griff and bad processes he established.

    f*** Doc

Two weeks ago it looked like the Pistons had a chance to be the worst team in history, but not now. (Worst season ever: 76ers 1972-73: 9-73.)

DET beat the Hornet on Jan 24th for their 5th win. The next game they lost, to the also-lowly Wizards. Then they beat OKC for their 6th win. Then they lost 3 straight but today (Feb 7) they went into SAC and beat 'em 133-120 for their 7th. Just two wins over the rest of the regular season to tie the '72-73 76ers for All Time Worst, and, of course, 3 to avoid that. I think they can do it. Hell, they may even finish at a lofty 12-70 at the rate they're going.

C-Bags beat ATL and kind of an odd stat: of their 5 starters, their 7'2" center Zingis had the least number of boards: Tatum had 9, Horford 8, White and Brown 6, and Kristaps only 3. But he shot 13 for 19...They added Tillman from MEM. They look scary. And I'm still slightly buzzed over our win in Bahstun.

I watched the Pels beat the Clips in Crypto, and PG13 was 3 for 15 while Kawhi was 4 for 10. Those two combined for 1 out of 11 from the arc. Zion's 4th Q looked like the Zion we thought he'd be: really strong moves in the paint. And CJ hit some dagger 3s to pour water on every Clips run. New Orleans started the 4th up 10 but the Clips quickly cut it to 4, then Zion and CJ took over and the place cleared out fast.

Yea, I got nothing done today.

The NBA: it's a drug. Take it! (And put off any productive work until you learn to only watch Laker games.)

Biggest sham in NBA coaching history + least deserving championship coach.

He's going to start blaming the pilots for not getting them to their destination in time.

    f***ing A Dallas!

Their news bigs made their debuts

    Gafford: 19 & 9 in 17 min
    Washington: 14 & 5 in 24 min

I think they had a better deadline than anyone else in the West

If Gafford keeps looking like he did in his first game with DAL, someone in the Wiz org should hear about it. Either that or it was just the way Luka was droppin' mad dimes to Gafford and no one in WAS could get it to him like that.

    Speaking of dimes:

gafford was highway robbery. holmes still has another year on that contract.

lots of folks were trashing them for giving up a first for washington, who's definitely had a down year. but washington has looked much better before, and he's almost exactly what they needed (a 3/4 who could defend, score in a variety of ways, and make plays from the middle of the floor). the pick they gave up for him could be a good one if luka leaves, but they need to operate as if he's not leaving. also grant williams was a bust and is under contract for three more years after this, so just getting off him was probably good for them.

i loved their moves and think they might end up being something that moves them more into the west's top 4 next year instead of in the 4-8 range where they've been.

Yeah, they have to be aggressive to keep him happy or he will leave them. i'm hopeful and doubtful he does for awhile. I think Cuban will spill blood before he let's that happen.

Apparently they weren't fans of the Grant experience
