i'm often defending rob, but this one choice alone is probably a fireable offense, tbh.

Letting a (future) first team all defense player walk out the door for nothing will be painful until he retires. Choosing THT over him, who's been nothing but meh, when it didn't have to be an either or scenario makes it worse. Then giving up THT and Stanley Johnson (still miss that guy) for a downgrade "wing stopper" in Pat Bev instead of one of the Raptors packages over the years. THEN you get Bamba for Bev and that never worked and then you let go of that salary slot. Ugh! Just every aspect of how Rob handled that entire series of events is sickening from beginning to end.

Rob has overall done a solid job keeping the roster stocked with talent, but Westbrook was a bad move- But that’s really a move meant to appease our stars that blew up in their face. It might have worked with a better coach, but that’s the main problem.

yeah, i got nothing here. i have more faith in rob than most, but this was definitely the worst sequence of events that i think he can fairly be held accountable for. and it's freaking bad.

I think they felt that they had a Caruso replacement in Reaves, and that both couldn't play/stay. In THT, they weren't sure if they had a genetic freak waiting to explode who could play PG, so they made a calculated risk.

THT didn't work out, and Caruso blew up. We still may have had the issue of both guys basically being the same position though. Plus we would have broken all of the quota bylaws by using it all in a backcourt if we decided one of them was a PG after all.

A do-the-little-things extraordinaire shouldn't have to slum it on a team barely good enough for the East's play-in.

    He belongs back in P&G

I hate it still.. What a terrible decision to let go of a guy who was a key contributor and was in the cusp of being great

If he’s not on the all defense 1st team sounds almost like an attaboy award. Though of course it’s well deserved. Did he make 1st team last year? OK OK looking it up …. Why yes he was along with another of our exs …. Brook Lopez. Thanks once again Magic no need here for no steenking Lopez or Zubac.

So wonder if he makes this year’s too.
