I really hope we don’t trade DLo just to trade him, he’s too good for that, if the right deal isn’t there just don’t, need to start thinking beyond LeBron

He's really good at beating up on the bottom feeders. Had himself a nice heater tonight.

Overall he's looked a lot better since being reinserted into the starting group. Still small sample size, but it's been a nice bump. Maybe that sit down he had with Ham was productive.

Dlo is a lot of fun when he's hot. There's no denying that at all. I just wish he were more consistent. As abeer3 says though, at his contract level he's got pretty solid numbers and contribution. He seemed to have fallen out with Ham and Lebron so I was ready to move on. And I like Murray a lot and would still do that deal that was reported regardless of Dlo's current hot streak. But no, don't deal him just to deal him. Has to be an actual good trade if we do it. If nothing else, Dlo is very entertaining and most of the guys really seem to like him. If we could do a smaller deal and get a healthy backup PG like Jones or Brogdon I'm all for that too.

If there’s nothing else besides the Murray deal that will make us better, of course you don’t move DLo just to move him.

Yeah, Murray is a no brainer for me -- 2 way player, built not just for the 82 but the 16, good foundational piece moving forward.

I like DLO when he's engaged. He's fun and he knows how to play to the crowd, that's important in Hollywood. When he's not, he's maddening as hell because of what he's capable of. The unpredictability of that line can be tough and tough to game plan for. If we move him, you have to cover the loss. If you don't move him, you have to get a backup who is capable of playoff minutes for when DLO gets played off. I'm just assuming Gabe is done and if not... that's couch cushion money.

This is an interesting note though, they’ve told him to be aggressive, and he has been. When he’s most maddening (among other times haha) is when he’s just out there doing nothing, but it seems like they’ve told him to just play his game and that opens things up

So strange that the roles and pieces fitting together has been such an issue after the success this team had last season.
    Check that- it’s
    Maddening, not strange.

I do feel bad for the kid. Ham screwed him mentally by taking him out of the lineup.
I don’t root against him- I hope he flourishes if he does get traded and finishes his career out with that squad. Being a journeyman in the NBA can take a toll on one’s ego.

Putting guys on the trade block due to incompetent coaching rather than playing to their strengths is the story of this era of the Lakers.

Yeah, it’s going to get ugly when LeBron leaves and Jeannie and Co can’t reel in the next big fish.

As long as they have Klutch we will not be wanting from Superstars, winning on the other hand, will be tough

About the trade, worst thing is to read that the guy would be traded because the FO don't want to enter in luxury for his contract.
It sounds like a bs because we probably going to pick a worst contract such as the Murray one.

All I can see is a great player who has been coached very bad by Ham.
Maybe we have to change the CS not the players.

Dlo is very skilled and he showed it last night. He has some consistency issues but he's a good player. I still like what he brings to the team.

If he could play like this (even at 80%) in the PO, we would be golden :(

if he played like that in the playoffs, he'd be earning nearly triple his salary.

I was fine with Dlo’s benching. It seemed to do some good. Is Ham a crappy coach, sure but that doesn’t excuse Dlo’s lack of trying on defense earlier. I don’t think Ham has somehow hurt Dlo’s career. Dlo himself needs to take ownership of why so many teams have traded him in his playing time.

Good for him to up his game since the trade talks.
I'm impressed with his maturity and that shows me that he wants to be here - would prefer to keep him and trade Rui/Gabe the first rounders.
