Dept of All-Time Letdowns: Against MIA, when the team was finally home and desperately needed a win to at least emotionally get back on track: Taurean: bad D, 29 mins: 0 points. Cam: bad D, 19 mins, 0 points. To quote Led Zeppelin wildly out of context, "Ooo..makes me wonder."
i could see prince being a throw-in on a trade just to get him out of ham's hands, a la beverley last year.
Prince would be fine if he played like 20-22 minutes but Ham is way over using him. He benches Dlo and Reaves when their struggling and gives inconsistent minutes to Rui and Vando (all apart of our run last year) while Prince averages a career high in minutes.. He somehow hasn't thought to try our Dlo/Reaves/Vando/Lebron/Davis starting 5.. Any lineup but that, with Prince starting every single game. He's not a good defender, passer or rebounder and he can't shoot at home but he's 3rd in mpg and has started EVERY game.. I just don't know
Lol he feels more valued here because he's THIRD in minutes behind LeBron and AD and his role is the ONLY role that has not changed this entire f***ing year despite how he's played. I do like TP but 30+ minutes a night is way too much for what he does. Needs to be a 20-24 mpg guy and then I'll be happy.
11 on 50% shooting w/ a couple 3s. Cool. But why the f*** are we playing him 34 minutes tonight? Stop. He should not be playing the same amount of minutes as most of these guys (all within 1.5 mpg as TP):
LOL, that's really funny. Basically, the least productive among those 43. I still like Prince though, just not the way Ham uses him.
Common sense would tell a coach looking at these numbers that scaling back his minutes will result in a more efficient return. Ham sees these numbers and will think that if Prince gets MORE minutes, he can overcome by running faster and working harder. Just needs more reps. Let's get him up to 41 MPG.
Prince is really the only SF on the team besides Vanderbilt. Austin, Max and Cam are two guards. Now could we use more 3 guard lineups? Sure
As I've been saying... a nothing player. Especially in relation to his minutes. I wonder what his value over replacement is. Probably it's value under replacemnt, really...
Why the heck is he still starting and more importantly why is he still getting so many minutes? His final line for the night 1 for 6 shooting for three points and net -1 . . . in 31 minutes!
This dude needs to go. Same as with Beverly, same as with Bradley and Vogel, Ham cannot stop playing him even when he’s being outplayed by Vando and Rui.
