Is it our defensive system?? Why are we always over helping off of shooters. Reaves and Lebron have ADHD out there falling asleep on shooters.

Ham doesn't like to switch and he's got the personnel to switch.

Vando went under Morant screens twice in the 4th quarter with the PnR defender in drop. You're supposed to go under against Morant but he had already hit 3 or 4 of these and with the drop, he was able to setup an easy open set shot. (i.e. so much time he didn't have to jump really).
The next play they had Max switch with PnR and the defense worked really well.

It's ok to leave bad shooters as the outlet but the Lakers just to give up way too easy looks

Go coach in f***ing Charlotte then.

This is the Los Angeles Lakers. Brightest lights and biggest microscope in the NBA. You will get judged by play. By minute. By quarter. And sure as hell by game. Phil Jackson was scrutinized here. The greatest coach in the history of the sport. Who the f*** are you?

We were 14-9 after IST win and we're now 17-19....absolutely inexcusable to be this bad with the talent on this roster.

We preached continuity and depth and none of that is happening right now.

I think Ham has lost this locker room...another double digit loss AT HOME and we got Clippers next

If they blow us out by 30-40...I think Ham could get fired.

No coach can hold Lebron James accountable for anything. You can't possibly watch film as a team, and don't know that Lebron is not trying to guard anyone with much effort. Accountability starts from the top, with the players. AD needs to let his voice be heard.

Ham keeps trying to cover for Lebron and Austin, and D'Angelo when he plays, on defense. It ain't working like it did last season.

One thing is without Dennis or Gabe, we can't get consistent pressure on the primary ball handlers. Reddish and Vanderbilt are both around 6'8 and are quick for their size, but they shouldn't be the only ones, out there trying to cut off the dribble penatration. They ain't built for guarding quick guards, with a good handle for long stretches.

I'd scrap the D scheme, go zone with another big next to AD. To hell with this Lebron can't play SF stuff, he always ends up on the perimeter against a guard or SF anyway. Opponents aren't stupid, they know we can't guard the perimeter, we didn't do it that well last season either.

Move the ball and rest assured, we are going to watch the ball, and lose our man. The shots haven't been dropping, that's what covered that s*** up last season. You see the difference in the 1sr quarter,? Defense will still shaky but we were knocking down shots.

Bring AD up out of the drop coverage and he'll shut some of that s*** down, but someone has to be consistent covering the lane in his absence.

AD's head is up Lebron's behind, you know he won't tell him to close out

Here's what AD said about Ham's defense though

AD “smart went off, we followed the defensive game plan, and the rest of the team got red hot.”

Terrible plan then, because Lebron and Austin, lost track of their man frequently. Austin was gassed at end tho, he played 40min

I think it’s not a swap, they basically have to chose whether they’ll take the pick this year or next year

So at this rate… they may be better off betting on Lebron leaving and this team being even more of a dumpster fire next year!

Man, seriously, f*** this guy, he’s just jumped up the list of most disliked Laker coaches for me. At least B0ron had crap rosters, what’s Ham’s legit excuse?

What does he expect? The biggest team and brand in basketball? It’s not even “one game” either, we are 3-10 in our last thirteen, have some self awareness and responsibility.
