Such a bummer. I don’t think anyone foresaw that this would happen. But man, we really should have just offered this contract to Schroder instead.

But again, it seems to be the back story, he wanted a guarantee he would be a starter and not have to come off the bench. He's still trying to build back up his future earnings to make up for what he lost being a ......

True, in interviews he talked about how he had a tie with the Toronto coaching staff and he wanted to go there. Knowing FVF was gone he obviously saw the opening for a starter position so maybe he was out of here no matter what. Who knows?

i really believe we talked to schroder before offering gabe. he had the chance to captain his own ship at similar money, and he took it.

    It’s official he’s gone 8 weeks

Lakers guard Gabe Vincent will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his ailing left knee as soon as Tuesday and will miss 6-to-8 weeks, league sources tell

As expected. Too bad, but I would try to get a backup PG now.

We move on as is..Lebron is a pretty good PG, D'Angelo is supposed to be our PG, and Austin is the choice of some, to be our PG. It's not like we don't have any options.

It's not: What have ya done for us lately, but what did you ever do for us?

Hope he gets healthy. I’m no longer relying on any positive impact this year from him though

this is what i've been saying basically since the "fluid on the knee" stuff started.

can anyone think of a time that unexplained swelling followed by arthroscopic, exploratory surgery led to a 6-8 week recovery to prior levels? i can't. all of them tend to lead to "oops, we found some bigger stuff that's going to take a year to fix".

Glad it was a successful surgery.

Key phrase the Dr points out is "reevaluated" 8 weeks. So it's a 10 week window before court time at best, without setbacks.

More likely I think is first of April he'll give it a go and they'll see whether he can bring anything to a playoff roster or not before shutting him down until next year.
