Again …. the consistent EFFORT on defense from AD ignored ….. played most every night unless maybe hampered by injury?

I don't know. Did Kobe ever play hurt? Does anyone care when they look back? Take care of your body. You're a professional athlete. Be there for your team and perform for your team. That's all fans care about. Fans are heartless and cruel like that.

Deflect from the point that the effort is basically always there on D, left out above, and you and Kareem typically harp on the O side when the “stats” aren’t beastly too, “often” simply from missed shots that were good looks not lack of effort, and ignore s*** happens injuries and dings from the one of a kind of Big Man everywhere and in the air D he plays.

And the always ever so logical comparison for anyone in the history of the NBA or “likely” (I have no idea and not relevant) “any” sport to Kobe’s ability to play and play well hurt.

    :Nope:

either too many or too few jumpers, right?! whichever is the opposite of what's happening right now is the right thing.

when? when he won us a playoff game with a clutch three? no really, though, the narrative here is purely false. AD often comes up large in big games/moments, far more often than the opposite.

you mean on offense? how often have you questioned AD's effort on defense? my only gripe is he doesn't always run the floor hard. you know who else suffered from that sometimes?

some of ya'all need thicker skin and are way to easy to bait with joking

I love my team, but yes, when the effort and/or results there, I'll complain as if I am paying for courtside seats. (Which I'm not) In fact, I stream games and don't even buy their jerseys. They will get NOTHING from me except unrealistic expectations of perfection on a game by game basis. Seems fair to me.

Rooting for the Lakers is my passtime, it's a hobby for me. I think about them every day for at least some time. I really don't want to get into all the negative BS. I look at AD and the positive stuff outweighs the negative stuff. I would not ever consider trading him, there is really nobody in the league I would trade him for at this point. So, I really don't want to hear too much negative stuff most of the time. We all know what his injury problems are.

Really, when it comes down to anything, if you are complaining, I hope you can bring it in the form of "things we can make better and solutions". But I understand after a really bad game people are going to be upset and wonder what we are doing. This is the best we have been since the bubble and I love the direction of the team. I really don't want to make a change, the ONLY trade I would even consider it Gabe and other two way guys and draft picks for someone who could be a solid rotation player for us that fit a void. I like Gabe but feel he is a redundancy that we may not need. That said, I am not looking to trade him, think he could be some solid replacement for a DLO injury, and some redundancy can be a good thing.

AD has shown he understands playoff ball. I know he will not play like this too much in the regular season. That is OK to me, save his body for the playoffs.
Lebron is amazing, especially at this age, but really just in general, he has been awesome this year.
Reaves has continued on his trajectory and is "him", solid piece of the puzzle.
DLO, at the very least is a solid playmaker and a great rotation guy, especially for the regular season
Vanderbilt and Cam are a great 1-2 punch on defense that seem capable of stopping a heck of a lot of great backcourt guys, with the ability to slow bigger guys down as well. They make us a scary playoff team. Those two with AD are a great defensive combination. I love it!!!
Rui has started slow but we saw what he brought in the playoffs last year and I think he is a fairly useful power forward who can body guys and defense, to slow them down. Thought we was pretty amazing against Jokic in the playoffs. Needs to get through the injury that has slowed him down this year.
Max is starting to show up and learning from his mistakes but plays both sides of the ball with natural gifts that will make him successful, now all he needs is experience to learn how not to make stupid mistakes.
Prince has been mostly steady, has had his ups and downs but he still seems like a solid roll player.
Woods has had his ups and downs but seems like a good team player and gives us depth, should and injury occur during the regular season, don't think he will see a ton of action in the playoffs, but gives AD some time to be off the court. Great contract.

I like the team, they are not perfect but there are very few spots I can see a good upgrade that we can make without giving up too much in return.

LOL was no one entertained? Tough crowd. That was a nasty looking ankle roll looked close to 90 degrees, right at the start of the game. But he “played hurt”, stayed in and had another monster game. No comments for 90 minutes. :D Hit his Js tonight plus 2 more 3s back to back.

Props for filling the void, showing up in the back to back and taking the matchup with Wembanyama seriously.

Way to play after the rolled ankle.
If he doesn’t, we lose this one.

super gimpy; not quite game 6 against phx in the playoffs gimpy, but keldon johnson was dropping layups over him left and right, which would not happen if he were healthy. credit for gutting it out and being good on offense, though. also hitting his FTs at the end. not gonna lie--i expected at least one of those 4 FTAs to miss, but he hit them all.

that steal and dunk that proved to be the game winner/sealer was an interesting play, as i was barking at him to get back because wemby was sprinting for a sure bucket. AD must have realized he wasn't going to catch him, so he gambled, and it paid off. risky play, but i guess when you're playing a team that's trying a season-long experiment running a pf at pg, you attempt such things.

he's right. it's on the coach and teammates to make sure AD is a consistent focus. if teams are doubling, set screens and run multiple cutters rather than force-feeding the post. if teams aren't doubling, just get him the ball within 15ft of the rim and be ready to crash the glass from the weakside.

wemby's already an all-nba defender, and AD just went right by him in isolation every time it happened.

I'm glad to see AD's shot coming back. The midrange is starting to fall, the threes are starting to go in. It's great that his offensive confidence is brimming right now and it's showing up big time in the box scores. 41, 37 and 37 the last three games. That's phenomenal. All the while playing DPOY level defense. Stunning. I swear that sometimes it's in his head with poor shooting. He's a cerebral player to me like Kareem and Pau. I feel like his offensive woes at times are a mental funk as much as anything else, same with his passivity at times. I mean, he's banged up right now but he's straight up balling. I think it's more mental than physical with him.
