Finally. This is the Prince we last saw in the first game of the season v. Denver. Anyway, lower minutes and coming off the bench are going to be good for him. He'll make more of the time he has on the court.
He keeps shooting something like that there’s no need to take him out of the starting lineup. Just keep his minutes capped around 25 always and use our fresh legs and depth and length on D in liberal substitutions. Makes some nice passes as well as didn’t get worked by BI.
Taurean Prince lived up to the label of "3 'n D" in a major way against the Pelicans. In one possession, he missed two 3s. But he kept shooting, ended up 5 of 8 from outside. It was one of things that took all the wind out of the Pelican sails. We are virtually unbeatable if we shoot well from 3. Taurean/Bron/AR: 12 for 18 from 3. Sorry but that's devastating when you look at how good we are on D, and healthy.
Not having to guard the opposing team's best perimeter player every night should also help. When slotted in properly, he seems to be a pretty decent player.
Imagine if he could play like this more consistently. It would make this team play like a well-oiled machine 100% of the time.
He “may” trend in that direction. Has been a bit much with his exhaulted whipping boy status in this young season while missing the other POA defenders and working through some cold spells shooting.
I still believe in him. I even believe that Gabe can be useful in 2024-2025, you know.... I'm optimistic like that.
Prince is up to 35.8 from 3 for the season. If he can get to 37% which is his career average, he might be one of the only ones to break the Laker curse.
TP creeping up on 3pt % at the righ ttime...right when his starting position is up for grabs! We are gonna need him to drill those open 3's to keep defenses honest. If he does that consistently, we're blowing teams out every night. Plain and simple.
5-6 from 3 against Mavs. That’s got to have him over his promised 40% now. 15 points and a +5. He’s been playing well but 37 minutes. We could have used Vando big time tonight.
