Honestly the story of the season is when Cam has been Cam this team looks like a team that will make a long playoff run. When he's out they look like a lottery team. Without Schroeder, they really don't have anyone else who can play POA defense right now on a consistent basis.
Boy I never thought I'd say this....but really need this guy back. What a horrible blow to have him out during this entire road trip where we had to deal with Maxey/SGA types.
It seems like it was precautionary because of the back to back. I think Cam comes back next game. At least I hope so. Trudell seemed to think so post game.
Seems like it, but once again I think we read the situation poorly. If we thought there was a chance of any setback and any unavailability in either of these two games, should've rested him against DET. We never seem to think about night two of the back to back regardless of the opponent. Hopefully it wasn't a setback and he's back out there wreaking havoc on Saturday.
I get that. Buuut Pistons lost the month of November. While the game concerned me because we have a long history of not taking not serious teams seriously. But after watching them, if Cam was the difference in that game, no one should've been allowed back in LA. Fire, trade or cut them all.
Well it was also maybe in staff's mind a good game to ease him back in? Had to keep pulling him after short stretches for lack of conditioning I'm guessing.
Just needs to be a threat on offense so that team can't ignore him He's such a good defender teams are going to see if they can ignore him on offense to get him off the floor. Right now he's not what I expected on offense but with his size and agility he finds a way to score. Good for him and great for the Lakers
8-2 with him as a starter. In his post game he talks about his injury and his fit with the team f*** yes That's really cool to see. In NY, Thibs would've likely required he did this outside in the cold and would deny him a chair to sit in
btw, his impact in the houston game was huge, imo. just doing a lot of little things on defense and on the boards, things that don't show up in the box score. that crazy o-board, save, and then drive and and-1 was spirit-breaking for houston.
He's a big dude so he can switch 1-4. He's playing the Aaron Gordon role for the Lakers. Obviously not as much as gravity as a lob threat but he's a bit more crafty with his dribble finishing. If he can just get to the high 30's on open 3's, Lakers will be a tough out. Denver uses Gordon to overwhelm guards with size and length and Cam is maybe even better with his hand speed
Just love the kid. Held Booker to 6-16 shooting, 7 turnovers and clearly frustrated him. Any points he gives us is just icing on the cake.
