He's struggled to buy in since he got drafted. I've never seen an unproven player who's only a name at this point struggle to buy in to his team. I guess at least he's honest about it?
LMAO … what does that mean, do what the coaching staff asks of him and everyone else that they think gives their roster of players the best chance to win games? And stay not too heavy so he has a chance to maybe stay healthy for a season? Agree with you JSM …. these f****** guys these days with the monster contracts and yet they’re so entitled to feel like they “should” have it better than they already do. And blame other people. For anyone who does follow the Pels … what is he unhappy about?
I really don't get it. It would be one thing if he was showing out like Wemby is and is living up to the hype, then if you want to act entitled at least your game is backing it up. This man went from being hyped as the most physically dominant player since Bron to Cavs/C Bags Shaq in a snap of the fingers. I don't think he wanted to be in New Orleans and when the Knicks didn't get the pick on ping pong ball night, he decided to phone it in until he could move on. He really needed to go to a team with a few vets who'd he respect and listen to and would get him in line. That's the tough spot with these young teams. They're hoping to bring on these franchise altering players and don't have the right leadership on the bench or in the locker room to really help them thrive (not blaming NO here, Zion is a fat lazy idiot... just generally speaking). So far Zion has been nothing but a disappointment and a waste. Not sure what will change that anytime soon.
i haven't watched much, but since mccollum got to NO, he's basically been their most important player (they look worse without him than they do without zion or ingram). that's an issue. he was supposed to be the #3. my guess is zion wants to do more ballhandling on offense (maybe play like giannis), and willie green thinks they're better when he plays like a traditional big on both ends. and willie's probably right. i'm a little surprised NO hasn't already traded zion. i would have. i know there's a chance he figures it out and becomes some terrifying combination of shaq and young larry johnson, but there's a much bigger chance that he just misses a bunch of games, and his weight is a career-long issue.
Stein shared this +/- data in his latest substack. The Zion/BI duo isn't good and they're playing better ball when both sit. That's not good.
Poor @Sentient Meat …. gave up the Lakers for NO and the “Kids” who got traded there for AD. How’s that workin’ out for ya? Well at least he didn’t suffer the season and two thirds of the Russ era.
he should come back--supposedly jaxson hayes was the real linchpin in that deal. just fleeced by the savvy NO management team all around.
Lakers ended this scrub in the playoffs .. Gobert is a p**** .. Draymond got punched by TT twice though off the court
I hate Donkey so i hope he gets a suspension. If dude was reffed like every other player in the league, he would get ejected in 6 out of every 10 games.
Clips lose again: zero wins in the Beardie Era so far. PG complains the refs jobbed 'em. Clips now 3-7. I'm sure it'll all work out. (lulz) Man, I got a case of the schadenfreude somethin' fierce...
