denver finished outside the top 10 in defrtg last year. i think they just have our number on that end for whatever reason. part of it is we're always pulling the ball out of our own basket.

and really, i know people say they took dlo out, but he took himself out quite a bit as well.

The guy is to talented to fall off that badly..that was more of a mental thing IMO. It's not like the Nuggets rolled out some kind of "D'Angelo Rules" or something.

They had the 3rd best defensive rating in the playoffs though: almost 4 points better then they did in the regular season (114 to 110 approx).

I still think losing Brown will hurt them in the playoffs - when they went with Jokic, Brown, Gordon, KCP, Murray that was a very tough defensive squad with a lot of switchability

I think if we play Denver again - we CANNOT have DLO/Vincent playing together. Need to play a lot bigger and have DLO as the only PG ont he floor...Reaves, LeBron, Wood, AD would be my pick for the other 4 players and if need be.

I really think WOOD really solves all of our problems on BOTH ends against the Nuggets. And I don't want to see GABE VINCENT touch the floor against the Nuggets

Definitely go with a taller lineup against Denver

I'd try that 3 center line up again for sure

Allen, Mobley and Lauri? I really liked that Cavs team too. Wood and AD can shoot some but we don't have someone bulky like Allen who's really needed for Jokic.

sorry, yes, it was two years ago, wasn't it? would you call allen bulky? AD's bigger than him in all ways, i think.

and no, it doesn't solve jokic, but if you look around the league, it doesn't seem like anyone is.

Bulky was the wrong word here. Maybe banger is the better word?

The only thing bulky about Allen is his sick hairdo!

Just a completely untrustworthy player. Don't know if the Lakers beat the Magic but if he played just a halfway decent game but it would been a legit contest.

So many missed wide open 3s, bad shots, TOs that not only killed the offense but were often 4 or 5 points swings as his f***ups led to easy Orlando looks.

The swings from him are just wild and I don't think you can depend on him at all with the type of inconsistency that we've seen over the last year

And it's not like they made adjustments to stop him. He was just awful.

Feel like he needs to find other ways to score when his shot isn’t falling. Especially if he’s going to shoot 17 times. Too many shots from long range when he wasn’t hitting.

Happens. At least he didn't try a dumass one legged step behind the 3pt line shot that got blocked, like our fearless leader.

I just feel like our roster construction on paper has already accounted for these types of terrible DLo performances.

Like my takeaway from this game isn’t “Ship DLo out”. It’s “Man I hope Rui, Vincent, Prince, Vando are all back soon so we’re better equipped to weather the storm when DLo isn’t feeling it”

without gabe, you can't afford to just sit him when he's off, so...this happens.
