…. that’ll be making the rounds today …. looks like something Westbrook would be guilty of. Gotta seem like deja vu holding the fort down with no Irving or Harden on the Nets but inferior rest of the roster with Phoenix.
this article is supposed to make you sympathize with morey, but it fails. lol, what an a******. again, i dislike harden more than almost anyone, but these are facts:
I thought Wemby was a summer league flop who wouldn't amount to anything in the NBA and Bol Bol is just as good as him.
I was too young to appreciate the obvious greatness of Lebron when he first came into the league. Not going to make that mistake again. Wemby is special.
Wemby is ridiculous, like a video game create a character, incredibly fun to watch play because you never know if you’re going to see something crazy. Full highlights, he was also fouled like 5 times and they didn’t call it I guess because he's so tall guys are constantly slapping his arms. A foul is a foul though come on. Spurs in general this year have been a very fun team to watch
Goddamn. He's only 19 too. I wish him health. And f*** the Spurs for lucking into a generational talent once again. BTW: with all the French connections (Parker, Diaw), I have no doubt there was something going on behind the scenes.
On the one side, it's a shame the Spurs were rewarded with a generational talent for tanking once again. On the other hand, at least we can somehat assume he will be taken care of, groomed properly and surrounded with pieces which could allow him to realize his full potential (barring injuries). I hate it when great players land on s****y teams and waste half to all of their careers surrounded by scrubs. The Spurs are not one of those places, at least as long as Pop is still involved. Having said that, unfortunately I still expect Wemby to be injured more often than not and to not really dominate the league as much as his talent and "uniqueness" would suggest. Really hope I'm wrong on that one though, Spur o not.
Crazy, CRAZY stuff. Kid gets fouled with no calls just because he's to tall (just like Lebron being too strong). Pisses me off, just as much as him being a Spur
Wemby played for ASVEL , a famous B-ball French club whose owned by Parker so they know each other very well . Indeed he wanted to be drafted by SAS cause Parker confirmed him Popovich was the right mentor for him . Wemby seems like a nice kid , he's quite mature for his age and said several times he wants to be coached to become a winner in the NBA .
He makes KD look small. In the highlights, Booker ended up on him in the post a few times. He made Booker look like former Laker great Isaiah Thomas out there.
some of those moves for a guy his size are just crazy and you can't block his jumper ahahahaahaha, this will get interesting for sure.
ESPN Vembanyama shot 15 of 19 from the field in the fourth quarters to start the new season. The 78.9% shooting percentage is the best in the NBA among players who made at least 10 attempts. ESPN Stats & Info @ESPNStatsInfo Victor Wembanyama is the first player with 100 points and 10 blocks in their first five career games since Shaquille O'Neal in 1992. His 38 points are tied for the 3rd-most in a game by a Spurs rookie all-time. Only David Robinson had reached that mark previously Shaq stats 129 points and 17 blocks. Impressive..
the spin baseline reverse jam with the off hand was a bit frightening. i'm really not sure what you can do against him other than get into his legs all over the court and hope the refs decide to look the other way.
I really, really didn't expect him to be racking up big quality minutes as a rookie in the league just do to the physicality. Surprising.
Probably my favorite non-Laker backup big in the league Wolves in all their ignorance don't deserve him or ANT.
