Do not like the hitch in his shot. Despite this, i do think this guy can be super solid. I high have hopes for him based on what I’ve seen. Welcome Max Lewis!!
Wonder what the structure of Lewis deal is. I’m guessing we’ve finally learned from our mistakes and gave him 3+ years especially since people are jokingly referring to the new second round pick exception in the new CBA as the Pelinka rule While his summer league stats don’t pop out so far, I’ve liked what I’ve seen. He’s missed some shots, but otherwise the skill level to create the shots has been promising. Looks like he has good handles and can attack off the dribble, and very pleasantly surprised by his defensive instincts
I see we've learned from our past rookie contract mistakes. Good stuff. I've liked Lewis more after a handful of summer league games. He's a project but his athleticism and defensive timing is fantastic.
Needs some fine tuning, but I am really liking what I'm seeing so far. 1-2 years, we've got ourselves a good backup SF. Way too early to tell how quickly he'll take to what's being taught or what the weight room and nutritionalist will do for him. Shot looked pretty good today, nice attacks, continues to react well defensively, and he's quick. Glad to see we got him locked up on a nice long contract.
That's for sure. That dunk he had... It looked like he stepped on a stool half way up and just pumped his way higher.
