i'm not sure that's been rob's MO. i know you like to talk about not beating phx without AD, but caruso, kuzma, and kcp had all shown up enough to win big in the playoffs when we cast them off, and we just sent lonnie and dennis packing after each saved our a** in critical moments in the playoffs.

as for russell, i think both he and management realized that not coming to a sensible deal hurts everyone (see schroder, dennis, circa 2021). rob brought in a guy to push him, but gave him enough cash to make it unwise to bolt. if dlo can't deliver, he'll get benched. we've already seen the team do it.

I’m looking for DLO to set a personal best in bench press of 120 lbs this year. Maybe do some sit-ups.

I was shocked when he wore one of his crazy outfits how he had absolutely no hint of a professional athlete’s body. Zero muscle tone. It’s impossible to spend time in the weight room and get that result.

but it explains getting manhandled in the playoffs. Time to level up.

And Caruso, Kuz, and KCP all played poorly against Phoenix, and got moved too. That whole team got whacked, besides Lebron, AD and Talen.

Beasley, Brown and Bamba didn't make the playoffs rotations, they are gone. Dennis for Gabe is an even swap. I would have kept Lonnie. I don't have a problem with the mentality that, if I can't play you in the playoffs, or you don't perform up to expectations in the playoffs, you gotta go.

Our Championship window is short, you need guys that you can depend on throughout the playoffs. For the record..I think that Austin and Rui, can be a superior duo to Alex and Kyle, for this team, already are that actually.. Is Max ready to be a KCP type of perimeter defender? Good question. We shall see, but we have some other interesting pieces, in Prince and Hayes. That might offset D'Angelo going MIA again, IDK. I still think that he's lucky to be getting another shot at it.

D-lo has a lot of work to do and a lot to prove.

I just hope to God he get someone to help him with his knees. He's so much more dynamic when he's moving into the lane and putting pressure on teams.

What kind of problem(s) with (both?) knees? Does he work hard enough on his body and strength in your opinion? It’s being questioned how soft he looks. I always kind of felt the arms and upper body looked OK. Weak looking calves and legs don’t “seem” very robust. Of course body types are all over the place.

I think he will remain a Journeyman in this League.
He thinks he’s a top tier talent, but he’s pretty much just a shooter that can occasionally get hot.

The Lakers and Lebron/AD got spooked when the Mets got Harden. I don't think they make that trade if that didn't happen

And when you think about it that was a ridiculously team they had Harden, Durant, Irving, Joe Harris, Bowen, Claxton. I think the whole comical way Kyrie bought all this s*** down takes away from a team that was looking as scary as the Durant warriors

The skill set is there for him but hes decision making almost seems like he's; not used to the speed of the defense when the intensity kicks up. Similar how NBA rookies take time to acclimate to the faster NBA game.

Hed get to a good sport and instead of dish and relocate, he'd take a tough floater. Shoot a 3 without getting the offense set. Maybe just more reps in these situations is a big step?

I think he needs a movement coach. He has okay strength, and his lower body isn't especially small or weak, from a musculature point of view. His shot has that valgus action, where his knees cave inward. It's terrible if your job involves taking thousands upon thousands of jumpers per year.

    Here's the idea:

    Research is plentiful. Here's some.

    Fix?
Rebuild shot from the floor up. Some suggestions that gluteal strength could be a prime culprit.

He’s paid appropriately now, he helped get us to the playoffs and all the way to the WCF, so I’m looking forward to a really good season from him.

He's got the talent. Now he needs to mentally buckle down and has to show he wants to win it all. Some folks have that, some never get it. We'll see. Hoping he comes around.
