Definitely can be and is. Harden isn't a winning player and is a 3rd banana on a contender at this point, but that's impossible with his usage and salary.

The issue with Doc's finger pointing is he's coached all kinds of teams and all kinds of players. It's never been his fault for them choking or coming up short. Never. And has had the audacity to blame his players at every stop. He's a behind the bench coach who tripped into a HC seat and raspy voiced his way to sticking around because he has been around the league so long and coached (not very well) all these successful players and undeservingly was on the bench when Boston won--that was all Thibs, KG, 'Do and Cassell.

as far as to the broadcast booth? I'm not sure I put all of those guys on equal footing as a coach. I was pretty impressed with Stan's job in Orlando. He made Dwight Howard look amazing and made him think he was better than he was.

Jeff always had solid teams. Jackson helped build the foundation for the Warriors dynasty, but a few other things sidetracked his career. I think Doc is probably solid, but if you listen to the C Bags championship team, they think they won despite him.

Not everyone can be considered top tier, but out of that list, he is the only guy with a ring.

i think both jvg and svg were better coaches than doc. i think mark jackson is basically the same guy, and i'm not sure i agree he built the foundation of the warriors. curry was going to shine no matter what, and in hindsight, jackson got credit for helping them up when he may have actually been holding them back.

but my connection was just that the nba is probably tired of these guys. then again, i kinda figured thibodeau was done after minny, too.

If Doc never coaches another game, he had a pretty solid NBA career, and a decent coaching resume. I do think that the record number of giving up 3-1 leads will likely lead to him not getting another top tier opportunity though. I do think those days are done.

kat's obviously kind of an idiot, but he's one of several guys lately who talked about how long denver's principal guys had played together, and they're not wrong about that. same reason gs is always dangerous--continuity matters. there's a case for keeping teams more intact than some franchises do. doesn't mean you have to bring everyone back every year, but the same coach/system and most of the same top players generally yield improvement.

Shocking that some think this style of play (what could possibly go wrong with the landings?) …. doesn’t bode well for his health in the league. 1st photo below Kobe’s.

He knows this gets attention and bodes well with their supporter base. It's a win-win to get media attention and raise his rep from fans

I like it. it's something Phil Jackson might do, but if Malone does it, it's not delivered the same.

But it's ok to call narcissism out when you see it when it can take away from the game and the teams still playing.

i really enjoyed russ until his athleticism started going downhill and he didn't adapt. then his attitude here REALLY soured me. i didn't expect him to be such a pain in the a**.

but these kids were what, 10, when russ was at his apex? so yeah, i can see it. it would have been the "edgy" choice for pre-teens in the lebron-dominated fan scene. i think when i was the same age i liked dominique wilkins instead of michael jordan.

go sit on the bench CP. He's a stopgap and a 30 mil expiring to them. Nothing more. Wouldn't be surprised to see him flipped before the season is over.

The Dunleavy Era has begun for the GSW, and...I can see dumping Poole, who blew it in the playoffs then made sure they'd get rid of him when he pouted and who knows what else went on after Dray punched him...but CP3? Too old, too injury-prone, not a winner, and doesn't fit there. I don't see him playing much with GSW, but we'll see. The contracts/money made sense in order to get rid of Poole?

Also: I like C-Bags losing Smart and adding Zingis: I don't think that works for them, either. But I could definitely be wrong there. Bags thought they needed a big who could score from the post? But Zingis really ain't that guy, is he?
