I guess Ham didn't want to destroy him mentally, hoping we would need "his services". That ship has sailed though, sign and trade ASAP.

He just did not show up. Not sure how this plays out this offseason.

S&T or trade during the season. Either way we might be able to sign him for $20-25M based on his poor performance, which will help our books moving forward.

    That's helpful. Very helpful.

The fact that he doesn't know (and it's possible he just wanted to move on from the question) is the damning part and what's going to cost him several millions this summer.

Big ego, can't admit that his game is flawed and needs a lot of improvement

it has to be humbling to be exposed on the biggest of stages when you think you are all that.

lol, the cp3 thing seems super likely all of a sudden. i just don't see what phx can add to the deal to make us bite.

but AD and lebron's contracts are up soon, and having a third large salary that is also able to be dropped might be preferable to signing on long-term with a guy you can't play in the playoffs.

one nice thing is that i think dlo's contract won't interfere with rui or reaves's RFA matching, as we'll prioritize those.

i'm not sure about it. dallas gave up a lot for irving, and i don't think we'd offer what they think he's worth in a S&T.

for many reasons, i wish dlo had just played better this series.

Makes sense. I hope you’re right. I wonder what some s&t or during-season trade options are for DLo cause he’s absolutely, imo earned his way off of any playoff roster. It’s sad because I think we’re champions if he just played like his regular season self. Maybe in hindsight, your Conley trade idea would have been better?

Atrocious series. Literally has been unplayable.

Still don’t think we get this far without him. Still think we need to keep him.

And I think this series will have lowered his value such that we’ll be able to keep him at a reasonable deal (hoping for around 3 years/$20 million)

Definitely a blessing in the salary department here and probably around the league from teams watching, as how can he be valued at more than what Reaves is going to get …. and hopefully he wants to stay. The bravado of being paid what he feels his worth is anywhere if not here has taken a huge hit, would assume. And the skills coaching here on helping him get to a more effective and consistent level both sides of the ball hopefully resonates with him.

Just watch film: you have the skills to be good which is the most frustrating part. It's not like guys Beasley and Vando who just can't do something on the court.
So of many of his plays are just slow down Dlo

hes not elite at anything, doesnt have speed/athleticism, handles, etc.....his sz doesnt even appear as a advantage over most of his smaller opponents. I don't even think hes as good as Van Excel was, hes more talented on paper but Nick had really solid handles and wasnt affraid as a scorer, the Den van excel would kill Dlo just like Murry is

It's not his series. I think he's a fantastic shot maker and a pretty great offensive mind. Pretty average to hide-able on defense. But the assignment of guarding a bigger, talented Murray and trying to score against a good Denver defense is too much for him.

What irks me most is that Ham was worried about "losing Dlo" if he were to be benched for Schroeder. I don't care about losing Dlo, I care about losing the series. And he's played so bad that, our team would benefit if we "lost Dlo" (benched) in this series.

I wholeheartedly agree we would not be in the WCF without him. He had fantastic games against Memphis and Golden fricken State. The former champs. But worrying about Dlo's ego while this team is about to be swept is what grinds my gears. It's the opposite of all these team vibes I've heard of up to this point.
