Should have left Vanderbilt in the game and took Dennis out for Rui. Lebron and Austin could handle the playmaking duties. It's not an ideal starting lineup, but key stretches of games, determines who wins.
It’s a little more complicated than that lol. The Nuggets are a smart team. They know Vando isn’t great at navigating screens, so they’ll run the Jokic/Murray P&R over and over when that’s the matchup to either get midrange jumpers for Murray or force switches. Murray struggling early in the game is more about LeBron, AD and to a lesser extent Rui doing a good job guarding him on switches or in drop. In the 4th quarter Murray made a bunch of tough jumpers over defenders that were not Vando. If Vando was in, those were not the shots they would have been taking.
And its not that complicated either. Those other shots that they would have been taking, shouldn't be automatically assumed, to have been successful. What happened, happened.
