game tomorrow is a MUST WIN. if we go down 0 - 2 it will be extremely difficult if not impossible to come back from. if we win tomorrow, it's Lakers in 6.
A win tomorrow is a nice to have and while 0-2 would be a big hole, it's too early to call it a must win. Nuggets dominated Phoenix the first 2 and then got stomped in Phoenix against a 6 player roster and no CP3. If down 0-2, then giving up 1 game at home virtually ends the series, but let's not freak out if they protect homecourt on this first stint in Denver. Nuggets are not the same team on the road. The series doesn't start until someone loses at home.
yeah we kinda screwed up not going for Jimmy when we had cap and he was a FA in the summer of the Kawhi debacle. Jimmy kinda coasts during regular season, but really turns into a Top 5 player in the Playoffs.
Hilarious Spoiler: NSFW language also it’s a damn shame to my recollection that Harlan hasn’t done any of our games
Playoff Jimmy continues to defy logic and the odds. Really impressive stuff. At some point he's going to run out of juice, I just hope it's after he puts 3 more nails into the coffin of the C Bags.
I was with you until the last sentence. Hate that line, it means the series hasn't started if Nuggets win in 7.
Whoa!!! on that ref’s facial expression! WTF indeed? Is that the dude with he and his entire family in C bag jerseys in the on line photo?
I agree with you. Rui is a good adjustment. These things have to be contextual however. As an example, let's say AD has his midrange going and Lebron has his 3 ball on or alternatively Reaves and Dlo are hitting from 3 at volume. Then I think the benefit Vando brings in shutting down Murray is greater than his impact he has on our offence. We can't just ignore him taking Murray out of his game. So I'm open to Vando getting a solid 20-25 mins off the bench.
I saw Lebron attacking Gordon as well. As we all know, in the NBA, the offensive player 9/10 is beating the primary defender, it's what's behind that's key. For all of his improvement, Jokic just isn't a high end rim protector.
The secret son of Michael Jordan just continues to destroy people in the post season. Jimmy is that dude!
Gabe Vincent , Max Strus and Caleb Martin , all these guys are undrafted if I'm not mistaken ( Duncan Robinson too) Great work by the Heat
I don't think so. Regardless, way to be professional. If i was Silver, that would be enough to bench his a** for this year playoffs.
second quote is him rightly seeing that dlo's a guy whose head you can get into. i do think he's maybe a bit overconfident, though. i agree with malone that too much is being made of the rui on jokic thing. they'll destroy it in game 2, and we better be ready with whatever's next very quickly. if rui could guard jokic, we wouldn't have him and jokic wouldn't be a two-time mvp. yeah, the way denver folded for games 3 and 4 in the previous series against a skeleton crew in phx would give me hope that we could even it even if we drop game 2. and if we didn't, THEN it would be over. i was pushing hard for this at the time (didn't really want kawhi), but iirc, jimmy had basically picked miami prior to FA, so we didn't really have a shot. i can't handle the fact that the nba is ignoring these obviously biased refs. you can't be a fan and be a ref. how can you not see this? having that kind of a reaction to a made shot in a playoff game is surreal. guy should never work again. and that lewis guy should have been fired a long time ago. their work with the undrafted free agents beats even ours. we're betting at drafting, though, i think. either way, both teams find guys that other teams could have but didn't.
