Ham lack of preparation for this game lost it early on for the Lakers. He has plenty of adjustments to make and he better do it, he has already in the 2nd half.

I’ve barbecued Ham throughout this season but I don’t think he is dumb enough to trot that lineup out again this series. He did adjust well eventually.

Consider starting Rui or Vando and use some of our size to save AD’s energy.

Defense was an absolute mess till they took Davis off Jokic and they went over the ball screens
He's literally the only reason this team has elite defense: Denver will adjust though.

Maybe have Gordon sets screens to get AD out of the paint?
They're going to have to prep for the Denver counter as Malone is a good coach

Lakers gave up 132 points which is straight up awful and unacceptable, bright side is that they were still in the game until the end. Need to tighten them screws Ham!

Have to give Ham some credit for putting Rui on Jokic with AD shadowing which changed the 4th quarter when it was looking like a huge blowout.

They won't have the same shotmaking as today, although we did also shoot very well too.

Yeah the early doubles on Jokic were very BAD

Why would you send help anyways when AD is defending the post ?

Jokic is the best passer in the league , it's a layup or a open 3 every time

The starting lineup decision was bad but Ham going back to small ball in the second quarter probably was even worse. Lead hemorrhaged again if I remembered correctly

Wasn't a great line up but Ham will make adjustments. Always nice to win game one so you don't have to win three in a row but we will still pull it off. We just got so far down you have to play dang near perfect to comeback. We almost did.

Asking Dennis to go under screens against Murray was doomed before the game started. It was good Ham adjusted, but it really feels like they didn't have to start with that defensive strategy.

Putting Rui on Jokic was the real find, I think Ham or whoever thought of this deserves a ton of credit.

Rui is built strong. That’s why I wanted Vando on Murray, him switching onto Jokic isn’t bad at all.

Yeah, I was pissed when I saw the starting lineup and it materialized.
It's always easy to talk after the fact, but as a rule I don't like to be the first to make an adjustment, unless I'm a heavy underdog which isn't the case.
Start with the team that is rolling and brought you to this position. Make the others adjust first or have a read on the game before going to plan B.

    Keys to this series:
    - taking AD off Jokic.
We get paint protection and rebounding. Completely changed the game when Rui was on Jokic. That's how we beat them in 2020 too. Apart from Rui, can Vando hold him 5/10 minutes? If not, throw TT there. Maybe even LeBron?
    - stop ANY 3 guard rotation

If we solve that equation, we steal a game. They can't defend us, we win this game by getting stops and rebounding.

I would put Rui or Vando in the lineup. Next game for Schroder, but it can be DLo down the stretch depending on how both play. Close all times with Rui

We've made game 2 adjustements in game one and we almost pulled off a W. Thing is, Denver now knows what is about to happen in g2. This will be a tough game and a fun series overall.
    Let's get this!!!

Starting Rui makes sense if we plan to throw a few minutes with another big like TT or Wenyen. I’m also good with starting Vando too. Bottom line, no more 3 guard lineups. The Golden State series is over.

2 steps forward, 1 step back... that starting line up was set up to fail from the get go. And he should have made the adjustment to start the second half instead of waiting until later.

Those back doors or high post jokic assists for lay ups have to stop, AD cleans it up

Props I guess for figuring out way too late that your starting lineup decision was doomed.

At least Ham is not stubborn and will change his line-ups to counter. He made a mistake in Game 1 but will adjust in Game 2.
