Yeah pretty much agree with the above, as awesome as it would be to have AC back going forward in these playoffs notwithstanding, for all the things he does extremely well and his smarts as well, like Reaves.

On topic - it may indeed be time for Memphis to break up with Ja. With him and Brooks gone, they may actually become one of the most fun teams to watch out there. They still have enough young talent to be optimistic about their future and Ja could net a nice return from some desperate team. I am also certain there will be teams willing to bet on him as he's a walking highlight reel and just very, very talented.

On the actual topic of this thread - I'm not sure what to expect from DAR in the Denver series to be honest, but I'm cautiously optimistic. The Nuggets' defense ain't as good as the previous two matchups, he should do fine if he's aggressive enough.

 

Think him and Reaves will need to step up big if we are going to win this series, especially if he can keep nailing threes.

 

DAngelo should be fine on offense. His finesse game I think is well suited against Denver’s def. However, Im not sure if he can defend anyone. If he can’t defend, he’ll come off the bench.

I do not think Memphis (ownership) would be willing to give up the gate sales that JA brings in. I agree a change of scenery "might" be good for JA but from the business stand point Memph doesn't win with fans by getting rid of him unless they got someone who is just as much of a draw. I don't see that being possible at this point.

As for DAR, I think he will be fine in this series. he just has to attack and shoot with confidence but not with recklessness. I could see (or it felt anyway) that at times in the GS series he was trying to "prove" something and he looked less efficient, his shot wasnt money (specially that mid range J) and he felt one step behind. Game 6 he felt like he was playing ball and in that he shined (for me). I believe he can put massive amounts of pressure on Denver which is what I expect of him.

Sometimes he just settles for stupid contested fadeaways early in the shot clock. He needs to think play make more often.
