i was very concerned. he had been a monster on d and in the second half had been catching in the middle of the zone and making things happen a bit. lonnie came in and did ok, though.
That ejection was so dumb. He was doing a great job on Curry, throwing him into the starting line up was a great idea. Really set the tone early on. His defense has been great all playoffs, offensively he sometimes tries too hard but we can live with it. Ja and Curry are quick guards but Murray is different. Schroder might not be big and strong enough to mess with him but we'll see!
Green had to do whatever to get Schröder off the court. First by suggesting he get subbed out then by starting a fracas. Desperate times, desperate measures.
Dennis may struggle with murray in the half court but can make him work with full court pressure d and play the passing lanes
If he can't handle Murray we can just have LeBron give the word to Reaves ..... ok Austin, "f*** him up"
Instead of questioning the bench, focus on playing bigger. Smallest man on the floor and it really showed early. Also have to take and make more than 3 shots
Dennis should also be a priority to be resigned in the off season, more than D’Angelo, in my opinion.
DS is far from perfect but he should be more of a priority in bringing back then DLo. DLo is just unplayable at times while at DS will always play tough D
i think we need both, tbh. russell's shot is so important to open the floor a bit for lebron and AD, especially if we play vando, too. i can't prioritize one, and i don't think either is replaceable with our assets if they walk.
Up 5 to end the third, get an offensive board with 10+ seconds left, opportunity to go up 7 or 8. And instead… Dennis chucks a three, gets blocked, leads to the Jokic top goaltend. Nuggets down 3 going into the fourth where they start with the ball. Felt like that sequence was huge for Denver’s momentum, and no idea what Dennis was thinking
Dennis is a terrific backup PG IMO but he's cant be penciled into the final starting 5: the jumpshot and decision making is too inconsistent on offense.
Sucks when your starting pg wets the bed. You have no other option. Anyways, props to Dennis who always competes out there. Hopefully he's able to secure himself a solid contract out there. I'd love to have him back at the tpmle if he wants to stay.
