If TBJ is going to be mediocre defensively, replacing him with Lonnie absolutely makes sense. Troy has pretty much been invisible offensively the entire postseason, Lonnie at least poses the threat of catching fire from 3 and/or being able to attack off the dribble

Nice job by Lonnie. Really stepped and rewarded Ham for giving him a shot.

I was worried after that dumb charge he got running into Draymond

But after that he didn't do any of the dumb pull-up.jumpera he been doing since he came back from injury. Probed and pulled back and moved the ball. Your a finisher Lonnie not a creator

Great to see Lonnie get some burn tonight! I've been waiting for that. And real minutes not just garbage time. I like that Ham finally used him and he delivered.

He did great today, especially effort on D. In this series he could be important if he can bring effort like that. We need more fast, athletic guards to throw at Curry, Klay, Poole and Divicenzo.

i commented in the game thread that his defense--particularly staying attached to klay for stretches--was really good. i'm still nervous about him if and when gs gets him moving and making choices on defense, but maybe we don't get there or we play others when gs has the personnel on the floor to do it.

on offense, i agree that he showed restraint without losing all aggression, which was nice. he also attacked during garbage time to help keep it garbage time, which is important.

i feel like for next game, he should get all tb and beasley minutes. make gs prove that he can't play in this series.

I really like Lonnie. Dude is athletic, plays with energy and I trust him shooting those open 3s. Hopefullly he gets more burn in the games to come.

Putting Lonnie into the rotation was a huge move for this game. Thought he should have gotten a look in the first round after Beasley continued to disappoint. Better late than never. His foot speed on GSW shooters is needed when guys like Rui and Troy kept getting stuck on screens. AND he's not nothing on the offensive side either, he can shoot (though sometimes streaky) and attack the basket well.

I rather have Walker athleticism to run out 3s vs gs , then worry about gs blowing past him to the hole, at least we have AD waiting inside.

I was nervous when he came in, but overall he played really well. Beasley has given us nothing, so it was huge for Lonnie to hit some shots and play solid defense.

Yeah, he is young and atletic, proving that he can play under control. He seems to be more useful than Brown and Beasley right now.
When you need extra athleticism, use Lonnie - otherwise play Reaves. It’s not too complicated with the short rotation in the playoffs. That’s 4 solid guards with Dlo and Dennis. You don’t need more. We’re 9 deep when guys are healthy, which is perfect for the post season.

as always, depends on cost. if troy wants back at a slight raise on his vet min, i'm good. he helped us a lot in the regular season.
