They should have traded him last year when they were having reservations about giving him a big contract. His value was much higher then, and they knew they didn't trust him or have faith in him. Meanwhile, Booker shot 88% from 2, 63% from 3, and 100% from the line. Unreal is right, Pioneer.
if the suns were smart they would've just let ayton sign that offer sheet with indy and laughed at the fact that a team was willing to pay such a soft, unskilled big man that much money. oops
Yeah, I just finished watching that one. KD shot an awful percentage, but was smart to attack more than settle. Booker is a scoring machine and should be a backup target if we can’t land Luka in the future. Ayton is so unbelievable soft- he fits perfectly with KD.
Booker is a clown, poster boy of the entitlement generation. Walks around acting like he has 5 rings.
I would have loved to have had Butler as a Laker in his prime in some alternate universe. He shows more heart and intensity in this practice video than a lot of players show in their careers. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/VqhRpF_vTBM
Every Miami win makes me believe it more and more - not only are they gonna win this series, they're gonna shock the world and upset Boston, and then Lakers > Miami championship! Team 2020 Repeat, LFG!
Not trying to increase anyone's nervousness, but I think whoever wins Game 3 will win the series. Statistics say this too: I think it's something like 73% of best of 7 series tied 1-1. Game 3 winner wins 73%. (If we lose there's always that 27%, but eff that noise!)
Yeah and he's capable of 2pt games, and the guy he's guarding dropping a 40 piece too. Tough job being a role player in the playoffs sometimes. Kcp is decent, makes teams a title contender? Not exactly.
Umm yes? He's a roleplayer so his job is not to get 20 every single game. Teams have to guard him though to the 3 PT line check. He can finish on the break or on cut check He's a good chase defender check. Basically he does what the Lakers hope Beasley and Brown can do in one package and it would make life against the Warriors much easier and also make the Lakers harder to guard. There is a long precedence for adding roleplayers that fill gaps and making the difference for title teams. PJ Brown and old Bill Walton for celts. Mychal.thompson for the Lakers. Richard Jefferson for the Cavs. GS had like 3 of them last year Potter, GPIi, PJ Tucker
Sometimes he can, sometimes he can't. He played 5 years here, I'm familiar with his game. He competes on D, but he's never been an All Defense caliber guy. He can shoot, and he can also go cold for long stretches. He's a decent role player, I'm just not seeing the making us a title favorite stuff. We have some good role players right now too. Absence makes the heart grow fonder I guess.
One close game, and 2 blowouts. If we win game 4 I think we take the series, can’t go back to GS tied 2-2 though, their role players are night and day home and road.
I don't see much to fear about Golden State..they are extremely small. You can't get caught up into an uptempo jump shooting game though. That plays into their strengths, it also allows those small guys to rest on defense. Make em defend and work hard for boards.
