Well round 2 just became much more complicated for us. Was hoping the young fellas would upset GSW. We're lacking something GSW has and that's a coach capable of making adjustments, substitutions and and calling time-outs. Going to be an all out war.
Yeah I'm not soo sure...Golden State doesn't have any answers for AD IMO. Lol...They aren’t even close to being as physical in the paint as Memphis. I have no idea where this "much more physical" take is coming from. The key to Looney on the boards, is to hit that foul line jumper he gives up, in order to stay close the boards.
Ham needs to continue that shortened rotation he ran for game 6. There’s truly no room to mess around and give Troy and Beasley any burn if he wants to win. Vando and Rui need to avg around 35 mins per game.
Meh..Lakers in 6. I just watched them go 7 games with Sacramento. I see nothing to fear but Curry going for 50.
The biggest plus is that aside from Green their style of D isn't the physical, rough you up, make you uncomfortable kind of defensive. I suspect Austin, DLO, and DS will be MUCH better offensively this series without Bane, Brooks, Jones, and even Ja when he's engaged (I saw it at 3x in the series...haha). Don't get me wrong, they have defenders -- GP, Wiggins, Klay, and Divincenzo but they're not the physical defenders like the Grizz deploy.
Beasley is going to have a big series. The Warriors give up a plethora of open 3 point looks. D'Angelo should play well too. Jarred can't guard Steph..he might see his minutes reduced actually.
Golden State is a bit Jekyll and Hyde this season. It’s going to be a good series. We need to steal one of the first two games and hold home court like we did with Memphis.
GS is a tougher opponent than the Kings. But bring it on! Looking forward to round 2. Goes to show the West was wide open this year. 6 and 7 battling it out in the semi-finals. I think the Nuggets stomp out the Suns.
We are much better defensively than the Kings. Steph and Klay will shoot their way to a couple of wins but I expect us to take care of business
I see opportunity..the Warriors just went 7 games with Sacramento. They leaned heavily on Steph, I'm blitzing him and making him take contested shots. Then I'm hunting him on P&R with Lebron or Rui. Get to them legs in the 2nd half. Steph Curry is the only guy they have I fear. If Wiggins and Klay beat us..so be it. Attack Curry!!!
The age old question; what wins? An immovable object or an unstoppable force? For all the talk of GS's shooting, I just don't think they're an unstoppable force this season. It's really only Steph and Klay that have been dangerous so far in the playoffs. They're shooting 38% on a combined 22 attempts - 8.5 makes. The rest of the roster including Wiggins, Dray, Poole, DiVicenzo, GP2, Moody are a combined 5.1/17.5 or 29%. If we can hold them to that average of only 13 made 3's a night, we'll be in with a shot to win every game - because they won't score easily in the paint against us. We're the best defensive team in the west right now. And what makes us so tough on D is the repeat efforts every single player puts into proper rotations and help D. Plus we have a generational defender behind everyone in AD cleaning house when anything goes wrong. I don't think that changes in this round, GSW just don't have the bigs to really tire AD out. Looney plays 30 mins a night and is the only real big they have while Draymond mans the C spot the other 18 mins. So we won't be hurt with Wenyen as the 10 min backup or even Rui/Lebron taking some backup C time against Draymond. From a perimeter point of view we have Schroeder and Vando to throw at Curry and I would have one of them defend him at all times. Which leaves the other one plus Reaves, Rui or Brown on Klay and Wiggins. DLO is our only weak link defensively imo and if he isn't hot offensively, I do think we see more of Troy Brown Jr because he can match up well with any of Klay, Poole and DiVicenzo and I'm honestly open to Max Christie coming in if we need a 10 min defensive spell chasing Klay around. It's going to be a great series, if both clubs stay healthy, I think we split one of the first two and win out at home - ultimately finish this in a 6 game series.
Golden State look beatable, but they haven't lost a single playoff series apart from the finals since Steve Kerr took over. That alone tells you this should be a super tough matchup. I think the series can go either way, but they should be favorites considering they are current Champions
It was exactly the same last year even though they won the ring. Their team goes as Curry goes. He had to produce some all-time great performances to beat the C Bags last year. the rest of their roster is extremely inconsistent, even Klay. The problem is so is ours.
