reminds me of butler's performance in game 5 of the '20 finals. just singlehandedly carrying his team to victory on the downside, looks like boston will once again waltz into the finals with zero injuries
Man, the one team that can beat the C Bags gonna go out in round 1, lawn. Meanwhile the Heat will flame out in the next round like always
Yeah, I don't like how separate he's been from the team. At each of his stops. It's like he's telling them, I'm that guy and because I'm that good, you're going to deal with it. My people are going to ask for perks and special treatment (to a level that bothered former teammates) . I'm going to keep my medical to myself and will update before tip-off. I'm not going to sit with the team when I don't want to...seriously has an active player ever opted to sit in a luxury box vs on the bench? How is he still not being eviscerated for that? If you can connect to a player, sympathize with this plight or his journey that buys good will. If he wants to keep to himself, that's fine, he's entitled to that. But that costs him all of that good will. And because of that, I'm going to assume (probably accurately) that he's an a**.
Can we get a repeat of 2020? Miami beating both Milwaukee and Boston, Lakers destroying Denver in the WCF, and Lakers > Miami for the title! This time, outside of the bubble, for us all to enjoy properly!
It's a shame that the Bucks might get eliminated on the first round honestly. I do feel that the 76ers have a fair chance against Boston, but then again, I also don't want to see a team with James Harden winning it all, since I can't stand him. I'd much rather see the Bucks winning it again than seeing Boston or Philly win the title. All of that said, while I don't think Miami has a real chance of winning the title, Jimmy Butler really has all of my respect and support. I would love seeing him win a ring (of course, assuming we get eliminated, Lakers first always).
Love his approach and mentality. He's part of that dying breed and would have seamlessly fit in 80s/90s/early 00s when more physical basketball was commonplace. He and Iggy (pre-Haslem role) are two of those physical two-way wings who I always hoped would've found their way to LA at some point. Just wasn't meant to be.
Ja has a death wish Had two of these on a hand you're not wanting to use to brace your fall. Not a great idea. The one on AD, it looked like he had to go to the tunnel or behind the bench (camera cut away) to get it rewrapped or something. He was shaking that hand so hard after falling, maybe the bandages flew off.
Yeah, as I said in GT, Ja is incredible and one heckuva warrior. But he's not always smart. What goes up has to come down and so often he high flys dangerously. He's fearless but you have to be a little careful if you have a busted hand.
... of the playoffs? ... of the league? Funny how your d****** isn't chirping after getting hit in the mouth
Incredibly stupid and dangerous play. If he’s not trying to jump INTO someone and hang and flail and get a foul he’s trying to jump over them. These players today may be more skilled and athletic than ever before, but nobody has accused them of being smarter. Whiny flopper.
We are cruising. The thing is Memphis is a great team, 2 seed and we are handling them. Again, we have the best team in the playoffs. Memphis gave us their best on a night we didn't have our A game and it still wasn't enough. Austin kept us in the game and then others stepped up. Lebron despite some irritating lazy defense and poor shot selection still came through. AD is due to score big next game and close these guys out.
Would be very in character for this team to put forth a lackluster effort in Game 5 and put everything into Game 6. Really hope that’s not the case, and the same situation the Grizzlies crushed the Warriors in Game 5 last year.
Heat missing 2 key players. CAn't say I saw this coming. I didn't see the Knicks up on the Cavs, but it's good to see a couple of our ex players playing key roles for them Love to see Minnesota make Denver work a little hard and extend the series. Maybe a light goes on for Edwards and he tries to take over. Happy to see the Clips crashing and burning. Go home Russ, Kawhi, and PG. Like to see the Suns and Denver series go 7. Stinks to see an injury affect the tied Sac/GS series. Both easy teams to root for as far as hoping they get to play at full strength. Wondering how AD gets played by Draymond or if he continues coming off the bench. I don't like AD in non MVP mode. it's maddening to see someone that talented get schooled by lesser players.
Trust me, i hate the c bags. Always have and always will. I have to say though, in your unbiased opinion, you really think we’re better than them w our roster as constructed? They’re primed for 18 and won’t really see any resistance it looks like. It pains me A LOT to have to type this.
He barely belongs on a NBA floor , him getting so much attention represents what's wrong in today's societies
