Sure, we might not be saying it due to bias. But if Lakers were intentionally playing dirty, holding, hugging, grabbing, yanking, and baiting a player, and then grabbed onto the player's leg forcefully and held onto it for dear life so the guy couldn't get out in transition, so he forcefully breaks his leg free and then forcefully puts it down in front of him - that would not be suspension-worthy. And most definitely not, after already getting ejected from the game and likely costing them the game already.

That said - I agree with your overall sentiment against Dray, and I never want a player like him on the Lakers.

This sounds like Green is some innocent bystander here - watch how many times Green gets away using to trip or blindside players off the ball. Or just happens to be in a place where he gets in a way of guy running when the guys is watching his matchup. Sabonis of all people a guy no ever complains about suddenly becomes Laimbeer among GS fans and Green defenders.

Again it's not bias, you cannot try to hurt a player in retaliation. Was sabonis grabbing his leg a foul sure but that is the point - normal NBA players and not dirty ones like Green don't try to hurt the other guy when they get aggravated. Lebron has been goaded for years (I mean he has dude blowing air into his ears, trying to fight him like Marcus Smart. And guess what Lebron got ejected for clearly accidently hurting Isiah Stewart - that was the right call and he has no history and no intent was there

I'm not saying Green is an innocent bystander, I'm saying the stomp wasn't suspension-worthy. I don't think LeBron should have been suspended in that case either. It was because of the result and Stewart's reaction.

Do you think that LeBron should have been suspended an additional next game there, on top of ejection from that particular game? I certainly don't. And if we don't even agree on that, I guess we just disagree about what is suspension-worthy.

I think it's pretty straight forward and yes I have a real problem with the way Green is being coddled by a lot of fans and media.
With Green there is clear intent (similar to a wind up on hits to the head) where he just is not only trying to get himself into a safe position, he basically uses his full force and kicks straight down on to the chest of an opponent. That was straight up something you see in the UFC.

That is different from lebron clearly causing an accidental hit: ejection but no suspension.

I think Draymond got what was coming to him. He’s been so dirty for so long. Ultimately I don’t really care much. If it costs the Warriors the series so be it. Not sure which team I’d rather face if we win our series but I’m ok with either one.

WWE maybe. Domantas was clearly acting, and acts and flops all the time.

LeBron was ejected and then suspended an additional game for that. Suspended for 11/23/21 vs Knicks. Do you agree or disagree with that?

It was a pretty bad hit to Stewart. even if accidental the play was dangerous so I'm not crying about the suspension. It was so ok and not that unreasonable I even forget about the suspension!

Meanwhile Draymond is like why does this only happen to me!

Green is a clown, I’m hoping like hell it’s not true we have interest in him. Yeah, Sabonis is a dirty flopper too, but you can’t stomp him, and then you can’t go to the bench and do whatever this is

I love Steve Kerr but that was b******* the "code of basketball" when Payton got hurt and then doesn't say s*** when Draymond kicks people in the nuts or punches his own teammate in practice

they can shoot the 3 well too. but if they can contain fox, they'll win that series. easier said than done of course

clippers are a different story. don't think there's any chance this lakers team beats them in a 7 game series

might be the 2nd time he costs them a championship

or it might wake their arses up and they put on a show and come back from down 0-3

both teams have to get there in one piece, which is a tall order for each. if the suns get a game in la, that series likely goes 7, with kawhi stacking up high usage 44mpg nights.

then again, we started out with both lebron and AD nursing long-term foot injuries, so...yeah, hoping someone else takes the clips out.

I don't sweat the clips, they probably won't make it to the conference finals

i hope you're right, and was glad when i saw them draw the suns in round 1. but after they took game 1, i realized that they can win without PG, and (especially if gs goes down) they're the most talented team in the field (probably across both conferences, tbh).

i don't think we'll beat them, and we'll basically never live down losing to them in the playoffs.

Counterpoint: they're playing Russell Westbrook 36 minutes per game.

I’m pretty cynical about suspensions. I really just want the games to be as entertaining as possible so I never really want to see good players suspended. Especially if they already missed a crucial part of the previous game. Green will miss the game and the Warriors are already on the ropes, will be interesting to see how it shakes out.

I haven’t even begun to think about how we’d match up with the Kings because we’re still a LONG way from getting past the Grizzlies.
