I can't stand the way the media is talking about Westbrook, that he's the savior of the game bc of 1 good play, despite going 3-19.

Did he make some good defensive plays? Yes. Did he win the game? No, no, and no. He was abysmal on offense and a negative for the game, -6. Kawhi and the rest of the team won in spite of Russ, not because of him. They had to overcome his atrocity, and his few good defensive plays don't make up for it. Also strange that we're talking about Russ as a defender, of all things.

Anyway, it was Kawhi + the bench that won the game, with a massive +11 to +16 for the bench mob. Why aren't we hearing about Mann, Powell, Hyland, and Plumlee instead of Russ? Heck, I think Russ is getting more attention than Kawhi! Absurd.

    Media: do better.

Russ: give 'em another patented "great" 3-19 game in the next one!

it's because he made almost all of his critical plays in a 2-minute period that ended the game.

whatever, give him his credit. he did that here 1 out of 7 games, too!

but yeah, if kawhi isn't in full god mode, the story of the game is westbrook shooting the clippers out of it.

Russ is unhinge . You're an NBA player, gotta ignore fans heckling. Dude can't even handle being called Westbrick.

But what is that area - why is there a fan lounge that the players have to walk through for the tunnel to the court?

Apparently it's a cut through area to get to the court the visiting team uses and it's a lounge probably for lower bowl/ court side/VIPs. Passing by entitled fans who are intoxicated and there's barely any security. What could go wrong there. Russ does have to get over the Westbrick stuff though, especially in a hostile road game.

This f***ing guy man. Ham bent over backwards for him, he babied him. More importantly though, pre-trading him away, the Lakers didn’t have the players to be able to make up for all his mistakes. So nice he has the luxury of joining a team with like 80 MPE level players

Russell Westbrook says he would’ve got a quick hook in the past if he made a mistake on the basketball court, since that is a smart thing to do. Westbrook credits the Clippers for allowing him to play through his mistakes and lose games for them, which he truly enjoys doing. You love to see it.

This mofo. He cost Vogel his job because he gave Russ all the opportunity! Ham was hired to pleased Russ. I think this mofo is putting in all his effort to show off to the Lakers what we are missing. When have he put in any effort to play defense when he was with the Lakers? He is like an ex gf going back to the gym to look good again to show what we are missing.

It's only been a few minutes, but you can tell Russ is having fun out there. This is what he lives for, him and a bunch of role players. And to try to stick it to former teammates. Hope he tricks the Clips into re-signing him.

clips can only give him tpmle, so they're already saved from themselves. if i were them, the russ gambit was a no-brainer. you have the roster to work around his shortcomings, you're buying low, and you can't possibly be backed into a contractual corner even if he plays out of his mind. finally, you can bench him because we already did the hard work of letting him completely destroy our team in front of the entire sports world. wins all around.

well, except in the games. there you still lose.

I gotta admit, this is where he shines, and I can see how some people, even players and teams, get tricked into thinking he'd be good to have on your team. Because he can take a mediocre team of solid role players and lead them to be marginally good. But brings down actually good players and teams. Total fool's gold. Glad someone else is the fool now.

Someone needs to tell Lue that this isn't a good thing.
