Good find! Thanks. In my memory - it's been 20 years at least - Lasorda was more pissed, screaming more. Maybe it was "f***" in every sentence that had me remembering his response as more...vituperative.

Dray? They're poo poo on the road, you can't be up for any awards when your team is only good for 41 of 82 games

That’s funny as hell and kind of unprecedented and sensitive. Not really fair to Toronto/any opponent (an adult would be tossed if doesn’t stop after a warning) … but what can Silver do with a little girl doing it for Pops’s team?

I wonder if they’ve at least asked him to put down the fork, saying they’ll support his weight loss routine

Who knows WTF with Zion, man. Maybe his body type makes him more susceptible to injuries.

Tonight in NO it was the SGA and BI show, and SGA was just a little better. Good game. Pels were home, will stay at home under next season. This was why the play-in situation is scary.

I'm still waiting to see a healthy Pels team with Zion, BI and rest. Maybe next season.

we still owe them perhaps the biggest piece (or not, though) in that they have the right to just yoink either of our next two picks. guessing they'll go for the '25 pick because lebron will likely be gone and there's a good chance we're a lotto team or close to it then.

but i've maintained from the beginning that it doesn't matter. we got the superstar we needed. we got a ring out of it. that was our end of the trade. they got a nice foundational piece in ingram. that was their end of the trade. the rest is largely window dressing and also heavily impacted by other factors. for example, they didn't get zion from us. had he been available to play the last couple years and they're a top-4 team, it wouldn't mean they "won" the trade. AD and zion would have been a top-2 team.

anyway, won't go on my full "won the trade" rant. either of them.

Can't believe the Pelicans lost that game last night. CJ didn't show up, surprising to me, unless he is injured. ????

The guy you mortgaged your team for ALSO has a back issue that would've kept him out of the biggest game of the year? Can't wait for the 30 for 30 on this trade in like a decade.

Come on Ja. "Career ending" cause a scrawny teenager threw a ball at your face? Isn't the gun you/your gang had life threatening?

And that risking your supermax sounds like some Booker level whining. I get this is his lawyer whining and not him. Still not a good look.

How many multiple millions is Ja going to sue the teen ager for?

Maybe his folks have money? That much? Enjoy the circus during the first round as stated by Wino.

Let me be the last to point out that Ja's career course has been changed. The NBA cannot endorse this guy. Heck they quit backing Kobe because a floozy seduced him and then blackmailed him over it. All he did was have sex out of wedlock. Ja was carrying a weapon to kill people. WTF, how can anyone support that sh*t??? His life will never be the same and he should sue himself and all his so called friends. And another point, apparently his time off as suggested by his team and the NBA has done zero good for him to be able to understand his own motivations.

I was a big fan of Ja, especially what Memphis was able to do last season but all his antics this year and taken me off that train. Dude has the kind of pop to be the next big thing but can't help stumbling overhimself outside the court. Shame

i have nothing new to say about ja, but i will reiterate that i still don't like the play-in tournament.

miami won 6 more games than chicago this year. that's a huge difference. they shouldn't be playing for their lives against chicago tonight. if we must have a play-in, at least have a 1 or 2 game trigger point for it. chicago, toronto, and atlanta could fight it out for 8th, but miami was 3 games better than all of them. regular season has to mean something.

and i hate standing up for miami, because i think they're an organization that has probably cheated more than any other over its existence...but if they don't make the playoffs, it's an injustice.
