Why is Wenyen getting left out? He's going to play before Bamba

We go into Utah w/o D-Lo, but they have the "Flyin' Finn" (as I thus dub he) Markkanen, and Walker Kessler's out.

Really need to take this one, too. West standings have never looked crazier heading into the playoffs 'n play-ins.

this is a big game, imo. it's a win we're "supposed" to get, but utah is tough place to play, and they're just playing spoiler now, so zero pressure. dlo being out makes me a bit nervous, tbh. we should still be able to get this win, but hopes of it being a blowout affair are probably gone.

With the B2B, I'm hoping they're doing this is preserve him for the Clippers.

yeah, possibly. they're more confident than i am. i'm worried about another houston situation, where we put our eggs in the wrong basket due to overconfidence. if we drop the utah game, the clips game doesn't matter, and i've had the clips game penciled in as a loss since the day the schedule came out (because it's a clips game). i'm fully expecting an L tomorrow; let's not compound things and find ourselves in 8th or 9th instead of 7th.

With ya 100% here. Losing to the Jazz in a few hours would be a Major Downer for us. I'm nervous. Any one of us could look at the schedule for today, the insanely tight races, and talk about how we need SAC to go into NO and win, but really: we just need to beat Utah today. And yea: "need" in every sense of the word.

Now watch J-Clark drop 40 on us. (Hope not)

I bet if you look back in this thread several years, I pointed out how his knee movement (he goes valgus often on threes) would cause problems with his knees. He has changed his shot a bit, but it's still something I'd like to see him fix. It's going to short circuit his career.

    I mean I get it...but it's becoming a recurring thing with him....

I guess Lakers are confident that Schroder/Reaves/Beas/Walker is a good enough guard rotation with enough ball handlers to handle Utah who is playing short-handed tonight?

If he's being held out this much this late in the season...he better be available for every effing playoff game

good thing Rui got his physical traits from his Beninese father, that sumo stance might be bad for basketball
