To me it's about resume. His is blank. 1 defensive first team and then fluff, unless accolades in the Russian league mean anything. Bron listened to and respected Rondo because he's a champion, HOF'er and one of the smartest guards in the game. Not saying 'Do could've gotten Bron to engage more defensively this year, but just that it's funny that Bev thinks any vet team would or should listen to him. If he wants to go tell campfire stories to a team with a bunch of kids on it, cool. We ain't that. And us listening to him would not change one single thing in the standings.
IMO playing defense, regardless who suggested it, would have definitely helped with us in the standings.

To be be fair though, the fan base does have a punching bag every season. See Danny Green, Kuzma, KCP, Malik Beasley, Rui (for a short period of time).
