Makes me wonder if he's still so happy to be a clipper. Maybe it's time to show his off-court magic in the locker room.

i think the playoffs is where it could become interesting. when the chips are down, i'm guessing lue's not letting him in the game, and when he is, he's in the dunker spot or something. which he just loves.

until then, they reached the spot we did with him--where you've found ways to minimize his harm. and he can't make waves about it again, so they're at an advantage. he'll get his stats, they'll get some wins, and they'll get to act like it was a good idea (though they've probably already lost 3 games they shouldn't have).

He's totally out of the 4rh quarter rotation: disappointing they need to let Russ be Russ

Clips just beat the Knicks and Julius went 5 for 24 with 5 fouls, with a pretty vicious elbow to Plumlee's face.

It seemed to really help the Clips that they took out Russ with 3:42 left in the 3rd Q, up 2. They went up 12 in the 4th and won. Russ never returned.

Yea, I was hoping Lue would insert Russ around halfway through the 4th, so the Knicks could get back in it, maybe win it. Russ played 23 mins, 0 in the final 15 mins. If I were the Clips I'd wonder why we give him more than 15 mins at all. He's "eating" minutes for them, to give other guys a rest. Russ: 7/6/3 with 3 TOs in 23 mins.

LeBron and Russ probably had a big beef. You see Shannon and Windy going at Russ like never before in the past month or so. What a little b** LeBron is lol

Clips up by 8 to begin the 4th quarter vs Magic. Lue decides to play Westbrook the entire 4th Q. Clips lose by 5. Just your standard -13 WB 4Q.

    AD, after the DAL loss:
    >"I already came in and told them the last play was my fault," said Davis, who has taken the blame for a loss twice in the Lakers' past four games, the other coming in Houston when he had to sit out because of a lingering foot injury.<

Somehow, for some reason, I take pleasure in Brick admitting his 5 for 14, 14/5/9 with 6 TO game in loss to ORL was "on" him. His -15 was more that twice PG13's 6 TO game -Solace.

But AD owning up to his bad play? I still feel the gut-punch when Kleber's 3 went down at the horn. No solace. None whatsoever.

i was speaking to the fact that russ completely abdicated responsibility for poor outcomes here, and now seems suddenly able to take stock of his failures.

AD did so after our game, and everyone still hates him. maybe russ is right to just gaslight everyone about how nothing is his fault ever.

Yea, I suspected that was part of your intent, and I shouldda said so. IIRC there was ONE horrific game from Brick when he was with us, when he owned up to something as extreme as "gotta be better." AD solemnly told the press his missed FTs in that C-Bag loss was on him. He regularly owns up and seems as close to the anti-Brick as anyone.

My "no solace" after the DAL game: not on AD, though it looks like I'm saying that. It was on the team. AD just had a bad end of game. And yea, I did feel dysphoric after that DAL loss and it lasted into the next day.

the dallas loss sucked, but the real narrative is that other teams are stepping up, collectively, right now, and we're not. if you read our forum, you'd think AD was the reason we lost the game instead of the reason we were in it despite being outscored by 33 (!) points from the three point line.

anyway, this is about russ, and just as i figured, the stop with us finally gave him some humility. which is good for the clippers, though i'm not sure it will save them from what he is as a player now. they might have enough talent to overcome it. we didn't.

Paula hurt (and I did think that was as bad as it looked …. knees not built to hyper extend backwards 3”) ….. and time for Russ to step up and really “Be Russ”. Big minutes, crunch time, overtime, all the damn time! Come on Ty Lue …. you know you love having Russell Westbrook available just for such an emergency.
