I kid you not .... I was watching Ja yesterday and with him as macho and currently on top of the world he is in his sport's profession (sans his first big contract) .... I was thinking to myself there's a guy that it wouldn't surprise me to see something bad in his personal life pop up. Like domestic violence. Waiving a gun and punching a teen 12-13 times? Seriously?

Sure his lawyers will get him off and maybe it's all bogus, BUT

i wouldn't jump to conclusions. it's easy to believe this given his rep, but it's also possible that the story is stretched or even a complete fabrication.

Could be a cash grab, but the fact that's been a few things come up this year... it's not a good look and often when there's smoke, there's some kind of fire.

The team is really young with a young coach. There's not really a vet there to be his big brother. They should invest in one asap.

WA Post report: It doesn't say if the Lakers filed a report for the way Ja treated them in the 3rd Q yesterday.

If all this is accurate, for me it's reminiscent of a long, jaw-dropping report Sports Illustrated did on Iverson and his posse, although it would be really hard to top AI on all that.

Lol at Harden, I’m looking forward to him playing out his final years in obscurity, getting fatter and fatter but enjoying those strippers

i thought this was common knowledge. it's one of the many reasons i thought morey is/was overrated as a manager. he just kowtowed to harden because he was his big score, elevating him sometimes at the expense of the team, imo. that's why harden couldn't wait to get back to him, too, imo.

Imma go all Rod Serling on y'all: submitted for your approval: ESPN has an algorithm that spits out a rating for the best individual game of the season.

    HERE

And, it's weighted a certain way we could all have issues with, if we wanna bother. All these games are remarkable. Dame's 71 the other night is only #3. Donovan's 71 was in OT, but he also 8 boards and 11 dimes. #1 game of the year, so far: Donovan Mitchell.

But look at Embiid's 59/11/8 with 7 blocks in a game his team won with only 105 points, holding the Jazz under 100. Not bad: #4 best game of the year, according to their algorithm.

Joker had 40/27/10 with 2 steals in a close win over the Hornets back in Dec. That's only good for the 18th best game this year. Seems better than that to me.

Luka had 60/21/10 in a 5 point win over the Knicks 2 days after Xmas: now that is effing SICK. Y'all remember it. That's the 2nd best game of the year, but it's my #1.

AD's 55/17 game is #6th, which seems about right to me.

    You?

d******. No simpathy for him when something inevitably happens.

Also, explains so much why that Memphis team is such a bunch of misformed punks.

That's a team if I was the owner I would try hard to trade for Lebron. He maybe old but that's probably one of the few guys with cache on the league who could get to these guys.

Desperately need a grownup in that locker room

I can’t believe I looked at him that last game we played them and out of the blue thought to myself he might be the kind of sports stud guy that we could hear something really bad about in the future, before I read about any of this s***.

Ja is out "at least" two games after the vid of him with gun in nightclub. The very definition of "beyond stupid." This, after the Washington Post broke the story of Ja punching a kid, investigations, etc: this is very very bad for MEM and the NBA in general.

Brandon Clarke had to be carried off with torn achilles last game. One more incident for them and they've officially "imploded", right?

F*** Chris Paul. If it’s a Suns C Bags Finals I’m not going to be able to watch, because I can’t root for either team at all on any level

I really don't get it with Ja, he is in position to be face of the league within 3 years and is on the verge of burning it all down. He needs to get his a** to Indy or Utah by himself, leave the friends and pops in Memphis.

The suspension is for at least two games. I wonder how long it ends up being.

Here's the statement his PR team put out

No, I'm with CP on this one. He has the right to walk up to Bev at any time and lay him out cold.

Glad he's at least saying he needs help. I'm with you, JSM: dude has everything going for him. Why does he need to be gettin' into these sad-assed situations?
