Trevor must be enjoying this even more than the rest of us :).

I was excited to hear about the trade, but I certailly did not see him fitting in so perfectly and quickly with Bron and AD. Hope it only gets better, they could form an extremely dangerous trio. We also have some serious depth now, if they can gel in time and get into the play in tournament, there's no team in the west I would be afraid of (yes the Suns don't scare me for a number of reasons).

Considering how poorly his predecessor fit, compared to this....DAMN! Under control and making it look seamless out there. Good chemistry already with Bron and AD, on the fly. When he goes to the basket, it's not a wild unpredictable adventure. Can hit big shots. And he's been better defensively than I expected.

Gotta admit to a little PTSD. Every time the announcer in that clip referred to DLO as Russell, I flinched.

Much better fit than Westbrook with our team. If he is a 45/38/85 guy now that helps us a tonne.

I wonder if he can finally decide on a hair style though. The Princess Leah is pretty tight.

I'm loving him. So composed and poised when playing, he does everything a bit slower but thoughtfully and intentionally. What a great add, he's what you need around LeBron/AD. Took us 4 years to get it lol

he does have a very composed look to his game. Looking forward to seeing him in the playoffs when team's defensive aces can key on him and harass him. Will he still look smooth? But he's a lifetime AAU baller, so he had a great feel for the game.

But there are only a couple of reason a guy that young gets traded 4 times by the age of 26. We'll see if he's the exception to the rule. (Cancer, bad contract, bad fit, etc)

Well... we traded him for, essentially, space for Bron. Then GSW signed him in order to trade later for cap space magic.

So... he was traded really only twice. To Wolves and to us.

yeah, he was, in essence, traded for lebron and durant during their respective primes. the only time you could say he was really dumped was this time by minny, imo.

and i think they had their reasons. let's see how it goes here.

I have zero issues with why the T-Pups dumped him to us. Reports indicated that he did not get along at all with Gobert. Shocking I know, after the whole meltdown Gobert had with Mitchell. No way they could move Gobert since they traded every asset and their entire future for him. Their idiocy = our gain. Glad to have DLO back. This is the perfect spot for him. He seems to need the spotlight to motivate him, and there is no bigger spotlight than the Lakers. But, he won't have the pressure of needing to be The Man, and can settle into the third star role which is perfect for him. As a huge bonus; he actually respects and likes both LeBron and AD, and will adjust to both of them because of it.

Well we still traded him originally to Brooklyn. Yes we had our reasons, but if our FO was high on him then they probably wouldn’t use him in a salary dump for a prospective free agent down the line.

But the sign-and-trade from Brooklyn to GSW and then the trade from GSW to Minnesota, I don’t put any blame on him for.

Felt like GSW intentionally overpaid for him so that they could at least get something back in return for KD. And their intention was always to use him as a trade chip, there is no way he was going to fit alongside Steph and Klay long term.
