I like Dennis but yes, he should be a 25 min back up. Ham is over using him and Beverley. Both guys would be solid in a more limited role.
That’s a major issue, 3 of our starters don’t start for almost every other team in the league. Some of our bench guys don’t crack the rotation on a lot of other teams. Dennis is an up and down player, but he can be useful if used correctly, and once again he is not being used right, second time around, same thing. He’s a backup guard, guy who can get you some points off the bench, not the starting PG of any type of winning team.
he missed wide open threes at several critical junctures last night. but i mean, what do you expect. they were actually defending him like teams do russ. it was sorta ballsy but obviously paid off. we need an upgrade at pg more than we need shooting specialists, imo. there are guys out there who can handle and shoot.
I think your right Rozier gets this team 5 more wins already this year?: just the gravity alone would open things up
conley would have had us with 5 more wins, too. similar reasons. i watched conley against dallas a couple days back, and he's definitely lost two steps, but he plays hard, smart, and within himself. and teams will not and do not leave him open.
Great game. He can fill-in that Russ role off the bench. He was making some great passes and no turnovers.
got a lot of nice soft bounces on the midrange j. it's amazing that his midrange shot is so much better than his three, still, after all these years. for some guys, it's just a step outside their range.
Very nice. Just like I said in the Reaves thread, but this time it's about Dennis: he's going to be really good off the bench, paired with Reaves.
Great game again. I would prefer him off the bench but I really love the way he competes. I like that he ran for the ball after misses 2 fts in the last minute and made the next 2. Didn't let that rattle him.
I would love to keep him if he takes the MLE. Even if we keep D'Lo we need a guy like Schroder to lead the 2nd unit.
HA … you’re not getting the message from Ham, what he’s flat out telling us. He’s not going to take him out of the starting lineup. And if he keeps playing like this both sides of the ball he is a worthy starter I guess, certainly right now at least better than he was his first tour of duty with us.
