I actually was one of the folks who wanted to draft him over Okafor. There was a lot going on with him during his first stint. Hopefully the second round goes better like it did with Dwight.

obviously curious to see how he fits in his second go around. he's improved as a player since he left, but his primary warts (mostly a maddening lack of focus and consistency) are still the same even after all these years. he was so bad in minny's last playoff appearance it was hard to watch. hopefully, that was a growth experience for him, and he can do better here.

beyond that, i'm interested to see what his contract will look like going forward. his rep around the league isn't great, but he'll be one of the top FAs on the market this summer, so I don't think we keep him cheap. lowest end would be brunson-level contract, imo. but that's still substanially less than russ (or lavine or other targets) and should allow us to go back to having more quality at the 4-10 slots in the rotation.

My hope would be that Ham, LeBron and even Bev can keep him focused most of the times. He definitely can be inconsistent but I'd like to think the staff can help with that too.

We will see. He's going to get looks for sure and just his presence should improve our spacing a lot. Teams have to at least respect his shot which will help a lot.

Can they win 19 out of 27 games with D'Lo replacing Russ. I'm not sure

oh yeah, our offense just got better. i think he'll open the floor up for lebron and AD. honestly, we could start him, beasley, and reaves and look like a totally different team on that end. he also returns schroder to the bench, which is the right spot for him.

that's a very tall order, but we're in better position for it today than yesterday.

Lakers should start being serious on the basketball court instead of saying crap like this and " we want to avoid the play-in"

We're not making the PO and he's gone after that (we better not sign him to some crazy contract). That being said, i wish him luck, i liked him when he played for us before.

we didn't trade a future first with the plan being to let him walk in FA. he might, but that definitely is not the plan.

That was always my concern with waiting for a trade as opposed to doing something before the season.

But what can you do. Lol. There were no easy answers for the situation we were in and I imagine the front office figured they could either get Kyrie later or pivot to someone else as we did.

It might be too late to save this season but I do expect noticeable improvement and a real strong close to the year so we at least have some momentum going. Most importantly though, we won't be depending on minimums to save us next year which was another concern.

We did what we could with what we have.

Team has to deliver on the floor and the guys with the clipboards really gotta step it up.

    We will see.

Didn't realize he was only 26.

He's been really good this last month, contract year most likely. OTOH hes just hitting his prime, he's gotten used to playing with another star already in Edwards, played with Vandy, Bev's, and Beasley, and most importantly is a great fit.

Could see him blowing up honestly like he did in Brooklyn. Benjamin's are calling, AD inside for lobs, Lebron cutting

a trade this good wasn't available until now, which is why i was always fine with waiting. had we moved 2 unprotected firsts and reaves for hield/turner and then i saw someone else get this deal, i'd be annoyed.

yeah, we just have so many more options now that we're out from under russ. still imagine that plan a is to re-sign or extend him.

So... we got rid of Mozgov in a roundabout kind of way. Did it Mitch/Magic/Rob?

If the purple and gold can make me cheer for players like Rajon Rondo and Pat Beverly, then there is hope for DLo.

Talk about a perfect scenario for him to succeed. Everything is aligned for him to go on a pretty good run here.
