Russell Westbrick Discussion: Clipper Gonna Clip

Good riddance!!!
Trading for Brick was the worst trade in Laker history. I never wanted him here. I couldn't be happier to see him go.

if he goes to clipps after buyout. i can see him going Ham on us every time we meet clipps lol

 

Happiest day as a Laker since we traded for him

 

This falls more into the manna from heaven category lol.

Extremely happy to see him go, I might actually celebrate with a glass of whisky in the evening.

That being said, appreciate his effort and professional approach THIS SEASON, and he seems like a genuinely very guud guy, so no hard feelings. As long as he doesn't join the likes of the Clips, I wish him all the best going forward.

We'll need a new scapegoat. Bev or Ham? I nominate both.

 

Bev has played OK. Ham by a landslide until he gets a clue how to maximize the talent in a roster and stop with the stupid unnecessary midget lineups. Not holding my breath.

 

Don't know if we're just putting it out there now as an excuse to move Russ (we didn't need one), but multiple reports have come out now saying the locker room and relationship with Russ had reach a place where both parties were ready to move on.

I don't want to hate on him and I appreciate his availability and efforts to fit in (he just wasn't able to) but man was it daunting to have him in our team

 

Windy just said on First Take that things have gotten to a place that he thinks if we didn't trade Russ, we would've sent him home.

Buying in to Ham’s plan didn't even last the season.

 

I can't wait for all the former players, looking at you KG and Wade, saying "now Russ is free", gassing up the box score numbers. Yeah, I'm sure teams will benefit from not having to send out $50M worth of impact players in order to bring him on.

 

really relieved to find this thread here. i feel bad for russ as a declining star who's the last to realize it, but i was tired of watching it happen here.

and yes, i'll be supremely annoyed when he joins the clippers and decides to play defense off the ball, etc.
